i find all the major phone comapny numbers a bit confusing. incuding nokias but then they do have more phones available compared to others.
even se are confusing- they have a t610 then release a clamshell version under z no problem but then call it the z600 when its a t610 in another form, the t630 comes out why is it 20+ when its just a different screen and shell, i mean the p900-910 is more obvious with the upgrades.
then they ditch the t series for k when the k700 is the updated version of t610/30
samsung have slide phones with e and d all a bit odd.
thankfully i only need the number of the phone when ordering after that its just a phone and i need never call it by whatever its meant to be called |

Another example was the 3310 and 3330: lets change the covers and add some wap with a firmware upgrade and call it the 3330!

A screen upgrade can not be done by firmware.
resistance is futile. |

I think I've figured it out;
1 series - basic boring phones
2 series - basic boring phones, but more expensive
3 series - youth intended phones, or budget phones
4 series - is there a 4
5 series - active, shock resistant, waterproof, basic phones
6 series - business
7 series - "fashion" yeah right
8 series - "premium original" phones
9 - you all know
