I see nothing of SE being asian. Same goes to Nokia, it doesn't look european to me. Both looks like international designs, although one brand might be better than the other, and we all know which one that is. |

Sad to see that Masseur's comment about mature replies don't seem to stick anymore.
I've been with Ericsson since my first phone.
It was a HotLine and it was the top of the tops back then, and I've had 90% of the phones /// and has had on the market.
I've built my choice of manufacturer on years of exellent quality and service.
I had a Motorola once that fell on the floor (Slipped out of my pocket whilst sitting on a chair so we are talking about 40cm) and died. Was determine to crush a 688 and had to throw it in a concrete wall 3 times to knacker it. (Sorry, not for your eyes to read Boba )
I'm by far a Nokia hater and are open to try any make to see if it suits my needs. My problem is basically that what ever phone I try I allways find myself comparing it up against a similar
Guess you can call me a fan to the bone.

I'm not an nt-nokia either, in fact, i once had 6100 series, it's not bad but, it's just doesn't suit me enough... I hate something statics, I like changes so I prefer the phone model that can be customized as many as possible, and SE has some opportunities in this matter.
For example, I just bought T230, it's quite cheap (about US$ 90) and a cable data (about US$ 2), and then I just find out, you can set AMR for ringtones, your own themes (Thank you guys in Esato Forum !) what an excitement
But until now I'm still searching for any application that can synchronize from T230 PhoneBook to my Laptop (it doesn't have to be synchronize with outlook, any app will do, as long as I can edit my PhoneBook from Laptop), any idea guys ?
Long Live SE ! (My First Cell Phone is Ericsson T10s, heheheh, guess I'm back to basic) |

I really dont hate nokia. Its just that after years of "playing" with phones, I have come to the informed conclusion that the average nokia phone in a particular class comes with less value-added features/functionality than most other brands, and annoyingly is almost always far more expensive.
I cant imagine paying so much for so less. One exception I think to the above is the nokia communicator series (good value for money).
SE, Siemens & Moto have proven to be the brands that deliver on the features/functionality that I look for in phones (and that at good prices).

@aivar - I like the Nokia 6100, as you posted!
@blackspot - Nokia=Asian appearance, perhaps 'chinky eyes' . . .
I like NOKIA more than fones ! Though at times, I am 'coerced' to GET me mobiles because . . . . I am here at ESATO - ! |

"nokia plays dirty to get sales higher"
Thats the most idiotic statement Ive heard in my life,
It should be Nokia plays smart to get higher sales,
How do u mean play dirty, do they break the law, do they do anything UNETHICAL. no, they just produce the same phone different design, which is better since it suits other peoples needs.
So dont comment if u dont know what the hell ure talking abt. |

Between Nokie and SE, just visit Mobile burn's article re Sony Ericsson USA lab visit in 3 parts (www.mobileburn.com) on how all our typical SE phones are subjected to various tests. After reading and internalizing it with all your heart, please appreciate the SE brand (or perhaps an old Ericsson model) you and me are all currently using.
Is Nokie transparent with its quality standards??? Havent read an article. If there is, nokie lovers, please enlighten all of us here. All I have read was an article about an exploding nokie battery when after an overnight charge.
From the past and present, only SE and motorola (with their microtac and start tac series) have been transparent on how they subject their phones to various tests until the finished product. |
