I must admit Iam too ,to an extent. Nokia make good phones , but the covers arent my style( feel and look plasticky) . Nokia phones do not play MIDI files as well as Motorola or SE , in my opinion . I do not hate them really , just prefer SE and Motorola . fro example , I really liked the 6600 , till I heard the ringtones .That was a downer for me ...my Motorola c350 played polyphonics better than the N6600.

Are you anti-Nokia too ? And why ?

I'm not bias to any brand, I always look at their features and weigh them based on my personal needs.
resistance is futile.

nokia sells, it sells really good! Why? I dunno, most phones only differ on design, same crap inside and the design is ugly too. That's why I'm anti-nokia. also nokia plays dirty to get sales higher (see recent nokia news)
Everything was ugly, but your beautiful face.

this question gets asked quite a bit on Esato but I think members are becoming a little more mature in their attitude towards other brands these days and there is less group-mentality at Nokia bashing compared with a year ago or so

personally, in threads like this I have always stated that I will buy a phone that I like no matter who the manufacturer is and am using a Motorola right now and have my eye one one or two other non-SE phones too .

Having said that I do seem to have had mostly SE phones for the last 3 years

I dont prefer a brand, i just like to look for which phone suits me best.

As of right now I don't think I'll be looking into much, the V3 Razr on the other hadn is very appealing. [addsig]

I third that..
I look for features/good looks and that rare something that you canīt always put your finger on, but triggers your "gotta have-reflex" instantly.
Whether it says Nokia Sony Ericsson, Motorola or Siemens is really academic for me.
That said, you/I tend to be a bit defensive over the current phone, and forgive quirks you would say "Well thatīs your typical < insert manufacturer here > when it comes to others phones from competing brands

It's probably not hate, I think it's more of "got tired of".

There was actually a time when I just felt like poeple looked stupid when upon hearing a typical Nokia SMS tone and almost everybody checks their phones together and gets embarassed right after but tries to act cool. I wanted to be different so I bought a Samsung. It turned out that I got stuck to that phone longer than any other brands I tried.
resistance is futile.

I dont like Nokia coz when i tried 7250 - the first nokia phone i ever bought (i am a long time ericsson user since t28) - within a few months later came up 7250i, the very same phone with only major software upgrade. And they wont let me upgrade- i have to buy again! Thats a bad experience hardly to forget.

I had a lot of problems with my nokia's, so I switched to SE and I didn't had any problems anymore. But I still look at new phones and check out their features and than decide if the phone suits my needs regardless of the brand.
