Due to special scheme.Gprs is free.Sms at 30ps for first 600sms per month.Calls at 50 ps and 1rs for local and std for 1.25 rs anywhere in india. All this for 450rs per month. On airtel. Also i get free download on the airtel live portal.Kind of happy with it only regret is the unbilled amount. It is around 2k at end of cycle, after all discounts the bill is only 1.3k and the sms to remind to pay advance bill. That's only regret.

@Amd. There you are. Free for some time to pull customers and to keep them addicted. Then they charge the way you will be surprised. I have faced it well.

I use Vodafone Australia. On their $49 Maxi Cap. Gives me $230 credit per month. Rates are; 60¢ per min voice calls, 25¢ SMS, 50¢ MMS, 2¢ per Kb GPRS. Can get cheaper call rates but $181 extra free credit more than makes up for it. Coverage and reception is excellent, Customer service not bad.
