Theres no harm in highlighting the fact which groups of people primarily buy which phone brand.
OK to get back on topic, i think people who buy Samsungs and Motorolas are people who also think that Nokia phones are a little dull and boring, they've also seen that the phones Samsung and Motorola are producing have more to them.
I dont like to class everyone in the same stereotype, but (my own experience) everybody i know who owns a Nokia, has never owned anything other than a Nokia, and never even consider anything other than Nokia when they go to buy a new phone. Thats why i class Nokia owners as ignorant.

oh dear, I own two Nokias even now but have been through everything from NEC, motorola, Nokia, SE and a couple of others I can't even recall right now. I do hope I am not perceived as being ignorant as I own 2 (read TWO) Nokias? 
edit: sorry, I meant to finish with the thought that Nokia owners, or indeed other manufacturer owners, enjoy the experience of the phone that that have had previously and are comfortable with the interface (UI) that they simply choose the same brand again for familiarity, not because they are ignorant

I own 3 (THREE) old Nokias too, but im not ignorant.
I think the ignorant people are, sadly, the majority of Nokia owners who only look at Nokia phones, they never even take a glance at SE.
Last year when i got my T610, a few weeks before this kid i work with got a 7250. He was laughing at me for buying a SE, and he really had no idea how crap his phone was compared to mine.
He thought his screen was better..  the 7250 is a 4k screen compared to the T610's 65k.

Yes thats sooo true. I got asked a few times about why i got a se when i got a t68i despite the fact most were still using 3330 and the t68i was one of the best phones available if not the best.

no way, me and my mates... we're not exactly 'nokia bashers'!
despite the fact i've had 2 nokias, ive also in the past had a motorola, sagem, and now a sharp!!  no, no ignorant, just like familiarity...

because NOkia is #1 in the market...why would you compete w/ #2 or 3 or 4 when your goal is to be #1. |

I had a Philips before my Nokia and was happy with it. Thereafter I had Nokias 3210, 3310, wanted a clam; had my eye on Panasonic GD67 but ended up getting Nokia 6610. I like Nokia but was bored of their sameness and they didn't do clams then. Finally got my SE z600 and very happy with it. I don't dislike Nokia. I just fancied a change.

@xert-but since this is an  forum, it doesnt make a challenge if you would say vs samsung or vs siemens... it must be vs Nokia. coz everybody is trying to beat nokia. |
