i know the saying goes, 'if it aint broke, dont fix it'. but it looks near enough exactly the same. people that ive showed the 'new' pics to all said theres not much point because it looks to similar? P800>P900 was a big design change, i doubt the next P* will look like the picture at all.

although you would not be able to tell any increased memory, duo pro support, better screen etc etc from the pics given, I have to agree with you.
I still say if there is any truth to this story at all it will only be in regards to the enhanced keypad as an accessory.
I guess we'll have to wait and see

Can't see it myself...I know it may have its uses, but I see the P9 as SE's more complete version of the P8. Nothing revolutionary, just a few nice improvements. For them to release a newer version of this would smack of Nokia (add an "i" and reap the benefits) plus it would suggest they were further behind in adding a true successor than might seem. Can't see it myself....
EDIT: Although I suppose Masseur could be right with his accessory concept.....that wouldn't be so bad afterall....

Love the stereotyping. Can't P8 and P9 users co-exist in an esato utopia?

I'm only referring to the many posts from P9 owners who seem to have decided this must be the case. These forums have played host to many sneering attacks on P8 owners, for suggesting that their phones might get some kind of update. It just seems a little ironic that the P9 is now assumed to be futureproof.
We should all know by now that SE don't work this way. They will release this as the new P910 or whatever, and keyboard-less P900 owners will just have to lump it. It doesn't matter a jot that the P9 could possibly use this keypad, the simple fact is that it won't be able to - SE will make sure of that. |

First of all I wouldnt buy a phone with just a few small improvements.
I hope SE will release something better than this. This is something similar to what happened with the upgrade of the P800 (the P900).
But as the site says the images are computer generated and are not the actual ones and that the actual phone will most propably look like that IF all this is true. |
