nokia 6230 is better than t610!! |

Why are you all such zealots?
Who cares who makes the phone? I will buy whatever the best phone is for my needs. I don't care what company makes it. My boss just ordered a Nokia 6600. It runs Symbian OS 7, has a slot for SD card, Bluetooth, VGA Camera, 65K color screen. It sounds damn nice to me.
Sure I love my T610, and before that I loved my T68i, but if Nokia, or any other company develops a better phone, I'll switch brands in a heartbeat.
If you all are willing to buy SE phones regardless of what the competition is offering, then where is SE's incentive to innovate and improve their product? |

Isn't the T650 just a figment of someones imagination so far?
The Nokia 6230 is about to be released and it is a DAMN fine phone if you ask me. I expect that at least in my country most, if not all, carriers will pick it up, and that it will be a HUGE hit for Nokia.
And let's face it, the specs are excellent. This is the phone many of us have been waiting for

This is very good news over at Mobile Burn:
"Finally, it looks like Nokia has implemented some changes to it's Series 40 user-interface. We have mentioned in our previous reviews that a grid-view for the main menu is preferable to having a scrolling menu for many people, since it allows for quicker navigation. We are happy to report that Nokia has taken this step."
This is what bothered me the most about all Nokia phones!!! They had the same old irritating menustructure since almost their very first phone. But still, the screen is toooooooo small!!! |

But the 128x128 screen is still pretty small. At least TFT is far better than the fuzzy screens on the 6100, 7210, 7250...
Hopefully Nokia have fixed the display issues with the Power and Reception bars... you just can't see them against a similar colour background!
Also, seeing as it's a Series 40 phone, it's most likely to have any direct file sharing disabled (Although it's the first series 40 with Bluetooth AFAIK).
I know their Series 60 phones allow sending pics and sounds between phones, so there may be hope...
but I refuse to buy phones that don't allow sharing. It's just a cheap way to get people sending MMS files. At 40p a shot, I'm not doing that!
I love the T610 as I can sit it by my PC, and immediately send it files through infrared - no software needed!

At first i was blown away by 6230 but now im not so sure. Why? Lets forget design. Phone is not stabil. Series 40. I try 6610 ir whit pc no connection none. Bt i guess its same. The phone is se wannabe. The screen is small and mmc,mp3, vga whit recording is nothing new. This phone is old. The main new things is resolution screen, more colours and 1m camera. se UI is better than any phone. And i think the next se bt is goimg to be long range maybe even some mini symbian os
