I want it BECAUSE of it's resolution! That's because I want to post videos in the internet and for this purposes they have to be small with little memory and little resolution. The P800 would be perfect for internet videos!

I can understnad that, but...
Why don't you use a normal digital video (or even a small camera) where you have a good quality of pictures, brightness (!!very important to film inside, look at the shitty P800 capacity) and sound, where you can addit a flash if needed, where you really can Zoom if needed.. and then use a simple software to change the resolution and format in what you really want... the result will be 1000 times better.

It offers you soooo much more possibilty and quality. Did you ever saw a video took with a P900 ? lolll it's completly garbage quality....

That's all well and good for people who can affored DV cameras...but what about us people that only have a P800 and want to take "fun" videos?

I can't count the number of times I've wanted to quickly video something funny going on when out at a party or something, and have been left unhappy because the golden moment is gone forever.
THATs why we need this...

...and also because the P800 is still young and we don't want to see it get dated so quickly.

And you think you gonna see something when you shoot a video inside (in the dark?!) with your P9/800?? lollllll
It can be a little bit usefull outside during the day and if the subject is not to far (P800 use somethiong like a 28mm) And don't talk me about a digital zoom, with 0.6mp is it completly stupid

Did you ever see the camcoder in action or the new software for the P900.. completly unusable when it's dark and very very saccaded when you move and even more is the subjcet is in action, no zoom and believe me, it's SMALL ... lollll

I had the camcoder... it just takes a lot of memory on your C: and can't be installed on the MS Duo. Was fun about 4 days, just the time to show it to my friends, and then throw it away... the quality was reallllllllyyyyy toooooo bad

Well I've seen sample videos from the P900 taken in daylight conditions and they seem fine for what I want them for.

Like I said, I don't want it as a serious thing, just for fun.

The same could be said about the P800 camera! It's CRAP, but it's there, and very cool for taking pictures of "heat of the moment" events, using as MMS pics and putting on the net.

I HAVE ANOTHER GOOD ARGUMENT WHY THE Communicorder will be working on the P800:

You can make P800 applications withe the new UIQ 2.1 SDK. That's because UIQ 2.0 and UIQ 2.1 are fully compatible. This means that the hardware MUST be the same! Otherwise you couldn't make UIQ 2.1 appz and run them on the P800. But you definitly CAN it! That means that all hardware parts like MS Duo slot and LEDs e.g. must be adressed the same way! Therefor the Comunicorder will work on The P800! I believe in this and I believe in sweet heart! He will manage to make a *.sis-File of the Communicorder! Then we all P800 users can profit from it!

just because the software is compatible, it doesnt mean the hardware is the same :/
that arguement is so flimsey.

I don't think so because if you make a program where data is stored to the MS Duo it wouldn't work if the hardware wouldn't be the same! And so on...

Still waiting for some responses of some p900 owners...

Actually, i am very suprised that some people refuse to give something to the community... :S

I mean, they have a p900, simple request from me, why dont they just give me requested files, so that i can try to make somthing out of it...

so why not tell these people how to do it ? as a normal user that iam, i too have no idea how to extract something from the rom. the only thing i would be capable to do at the moment is to do a backup and send this thing to sweetheart ...
i'm sure if there is a public step by step description how to backup the p900 rom, a humble, anonymous guy would send the stuff to this forum.

A backup will not help! It's very easy, just use filemanager, then locate communicorder under Z rom drive(probably Z/apps/ ) and copy files (.app,.aif,.mbm,.rsc etc) on C or D,then use epocware fileman to copy the files on pc,then attach files to email...and that's it! I hope that someone with a p900 will send those files to sweet...

Petrutsm, thanx man

Let me explain what i need to test it:

one of the rom drive where all the .sis files are available:
1. :\System\Install (the whole INSTALL map)
2. :\System\Apps\Communicorder (the whole Communicorder map)

Internal drive (anything that has to do with the communicorder):
3. c:\System\Apps\Communicorder (the whole map)
4. c:\Documents\Communicorder (the whole map)

In the internal drive, the .aif, .app, .mbm, .ini files, and etc!

My intensions are not bad, i want to try to make the Communicorder work for the p800 and i will release it to the p800 community.

As u can read above, i named systemappscommunicorder but this also can be named as cmnc or comncrdr, i dont precisely know how the Communicorder maps is named!

I would appreciate if some p900 owner did this for me, and he packed the files to seperate maps (folders)!?
