Anyway I would go back later to CPW, lets face it most of the workers there don't know shit.
They're always saying different things and changing their story. |

Its poss better to wait til its out guys and then worry about getting the upgrade done. Then I think they should know more about the version and who can do it. Im sure that itll be posted on here too at some point.
I want the upgrade too, but am willing to wait til its out, after all can you remember the fuss that went on a couple of months ago woth regards to the release of the t68i and the MMS upgrade???

I would not all hold your breath. Cpw with a service centre can do it but according to my memo here there is a stability issue and it may be delayed

Let me get this straight, they have a service centre at the Welford Road CPW. In that case i'll have to go visit my grandparents
Or can someone point me to one in either the centre of manchester or stockport area. Bit difficult for me to get to warrington.

Carphone Warehouse Suck!!!!
Two weeks ago I gave them my T68 to upgrade to the T68i, went to pick it up and found two ever so slight problems...
1. The battery had mysteriously disappeared
2. The software on the phone had been upgraded to the latest T68m software available, shame as I wanted it upgraded it to the T68i.
And then had to send an hour explaining how they did have my battery in the first place, and that I did specify that I wanted it upgraded to an 'i' model.
If you ask me, they suck bigtime!!!! |

Try not to use Carphone Warehouse for your upgrades. They have not been NOT authorised by Sony Ericsson to repair or upgrade software. They are NOT Ericsson service centres. Any work done by them on your phones will INVALIDATE the warranty. For some reason they have neglected to tell anyone this information, including me. I have had my phone upgraded at both CPW and an AUTHORISED service centre, this is how I know. So be careful!  |

i've upgraded 4 T68's at Carphonewarehouse and not had a single problem with them, if they lose your battery they will replace it, if you encounter further probelms as a result of your upgrade Carphonewarehouse will fix them.
if they dont it's because you allowed them to mug you off.
always read your reciepts when you leave your phones with them and and check everything before you sign the receipt.
