@SLY21, check my post about 5 before posts before yours, llinks to sight about cabir virus which does just that. So far it seems only s60 phones are susceptible so if you have an SE symbian phone don't be too worried (but always be thoughtful when accepting things from people you don't know - they may be the developer of the first P series virus!)
@mamal, NEVER heard of a java platform virus, but I don't for a second believe it's not possible, it just hasn't been done yet.
Java can access your phone's functions, wether it can write to or read from the phones file system (outside the java platform) I have no idea. |

as already stated, the "viruses" available today only affect Symbian Series 60 phones... so your LG mobile is safe for now. |
