this is the first microsoft mouse/keyboard I ever try
I'm quite happy with it
except it pairing refresh rate is slow (after long idle periods)
but the distance is amazing
also sometimes it looses pairing all together on boot
so u get the "No Keyboard Found, Press F1 to continue"
error msg
(I swear that error exists!)

U cannot compare a wireless (MX700 or Wireless Explorer) with a Razor Boomslang 2100 vitch has 2100dpi

I am not doing that.
All I am saying is that MX-700 is a damn good mouse, and that Logitech beats Microsoft any time...

You are not the kind of Norway.., so I guess it is...
Within 2 meter range, the mouse functions in fast RF mode, which is basically the same speed as a corded mouse. The response time is instant (from experience)

What is this then?

A standard corded mouse has a dpi of 400-800 (USB). Once again, you fail to make your point. The corded mouse you use as your example costs £60 , and is not ment for everyday user. It's obviously made for gaming, and 1200dpi is pretty much expected from a corded mouse that costs that much, so why are you using it as an example?! I am sure if I look hard enough, I'll find a mouse with even higher dpi from a professional line of products.
So once again. MX-700 is the best mouse I have ever used. Logitech beats Microsoft any time... and MX-700 beats most corded mice (in it's class) any time.
Here is a review, if you are interested

How many images per sec does the MX700 read?

A qoute from www.tweak3d.net
Image Processing Power
The MX Optical Engine captures 4.7 megapixels of information per second, more than 60% more than other leading mice. Why is that significant? Because when more image data is captured and analyzed each second, more data is available to determine motion... increasing the mouse's ability to track on difficult surfaces or during quick movements.
A qoute from Tom's Hardware
30x30 gives us a sensor of 900 pixels. So we now divide the 4.7 Mpixels by 900 and arrive at a speed of 5222 images per second.
