I cant believe we are actually having this discussion, 7210 is the most bodge looking phone ive ever seen and who cares if its got more colours and java, whats the use when you can only store one pic on the chunk. All i can say is SE have marketed their products for much older and business like people but instead nokia phones are for little teenage kids. |

The 7210 is the first Nokia phone to implement a new type of port, which will be used to connect up to other hardware, when released, in the future (sorry i'm not specifics with names and such, but I can't be arsed to go and look at it on the Nokia site!). So this means it probably will have a communicam of sorts to complement it sooner or later.

Yeap... that's true! Lets hope that they will equip this phone with a camera in the future... I do intend to buy it (7210) as a secondary mobile , just for fun |

You must be kidding me? I think they marketed it for all ages. Hell, I even like my new T68i, and I'm not OLD!
That Nokia 7210 phone is for highschool kids and younger, just look at it!

Well, looks are in the eye of the beholder.. so I won't judge the 7210 until I see it person. It might be like I felt about the T68i. It looked quite ugly (to be honest) on the pictures I saw on the web, the colours just didn't make me "feel" the way I felt about the design of my gold T68m.
BUT, when I saw the T68i in person, I thought HEY!! IT LOOKS GOOD, VERY NICE DESIGN. I liked the blue led's in the keypad, the blue and white/silver colours actually looked much better than I imagined.
So I won't judge 7210 yet. But I have opinions on the functions, like it lacking bluetooth, an e-mail client and so on.. but the screen looks nice, the ring-tones are nicer than my T68, and it has a speaker-function which is a thing I wish my T68 had..
There will always come something new, I just enjoy what I have at the moment, and don't think (too much) about what I will/can get in the future. Hey, someday I might sit on the moon and look at earth on vacation! But I try not to think about it!

I've tried it at CeBit and I was impressed. The feel of quality was great, the menus were very quick and were full of neatly designed graphics - some of the best pixelled art I've seen in fact - and it just felt 'right'. The night after the first day at CeBit I actually dreamt that I ran into their booth and snagged their working example while noone was looking The day after I went directly back into their booth to play with it again!
I love my T68, but it feels to me as the 7210 is the next natural step. I don't care who makes the phone, I'm too selfish for that.

You probably was the only person in Nokia's booth at CeBit. It was just about empty compared to which was all but empty.
And come on, this is just the next in line of the ugliest phones on earth. Also, it'll probably be the same quality as the rest of the Nokias, which means that it'll die on you within three months.
And from reading some other posts, I'm just wondering... What do you guys mean by saying that the Nokia is more featured than the T68?
Java, polymorphic ringtones, boring and butt ugly design... Yeah I really need that, NOT! What about Bluetooth, irDa, Voice dialling/answering, SyncML, talk-time etc.?
There's no way I'll switch to the 7210!!

Great picture Venger. Really shows off how that phone looks like compared to the T68.
However, the phone still looks way ugly compared to the T68
Also, those features still do not impress me
Nokia is gonna have to do a way better job than that to get me to buy one. The 7650 might pull it off, but it's still rather limited for my tastes.

sucks alot more power...hmm could be wrong of course I'm no
wiz with electronics. |

I think the 7210 is like the 8310 in lack of the newest features wich most T68 users are used to, especialy Bluethooth.
The 7210 will be a major hit in a user class that thinks more about design and popularity. In other words the ones that bought the 8310.
Anyway i dont think you can ecspect the T68 to be state of the art much longer, it has been for over half a year and is still tough. |

I prefer the T68, the 7210 has crap features and is ugly. The cover doesn't allow all the buttons to show up clearly in the dark, maybe thats just the cover, but the design is pretty piss poor. It seems too thin, when I look at it something is just not right.
Do you guys have the same feeling?
There isnt any bluetooth or IrDA and there was no mention of MMS when I went to the website.
Hopefully the games will save its ass. Nokia always seem to have pretty decent games.
I can see all these Nokia loving sheep wanting to buy it now.

What do you think are crap features really?
Java? Let's see what happens soon... If you consider Java crap, I can't quite help you. You will understand soon enough.
FM Radio? Well, it's a gadget, but I've used it a lot on my 8310. I think it deserves a bit more than a "crap" statement
What else:
no bluetooth. Well, then it can't be a crap feature, because it doesn't have it
IrDA: I'de be surprised if it wouldn't support this.
MMS: It does have it. I don't think it's crap either.
The rest of the features are the same on both T68i and 7210... Do you judge them as crap too? Do you think your T68 has crap features
Both phones are feature loaded with some differences (e.g. no Bluetooth vs no Java) and they both are great I think.

Java is crap, java viruses can destroy phones, they tested viruses on some siemens models and they were wrecked.
Lets face the 7210 is ugly comaped to the T68. The radio is useful but still a gimmick. I would prefer a bluetooth chip to a 50 pence FM radio circuit.
7210 can be saved via its games and a decent price. I walked into the carphonewarehouse the 8310 was £300 offline whilst the T68 was £320. Nokia seems to be more a rip off nowadays. They used to be much more of a bargin.
Some decent phone covers won't hurt, the ones I saw were ugly. They didn't do Nokia justice. |

Can't wait for the CNET phone competitions to start again.
7210 vs T68, there can only be one. |
