I've got a reply from SE here in Norway today. They said that there will be an MMS upgrade for T68m. It will probably be out in week 16. So don't worry! :-)

Sounds promising.
But info can change fast.
Maybe the newest order from ericssom came out yesterday, saying that the upgrades will be put on hold.
Well just wait and see. |

A sales person at a Europolitan store told me today that SE had said today that there will be an upgrade avalaible by the end of the week, but without MMS.

Khe khe ... "ALL"?! ... not ALL! These news were known in Russia some weeks ago! The Ericsson said before CeBIT that NOT ALL T68 will be TECHNICALY able for update! Only the lastmade models will be able for update! Those ones that were made at the first weeks will not! I have T68 made Week46/2001 and even don't know - is it first weeks or the last one??!! Nobody knows surely! But not ALL!  ((( |

Well there are 3 t68 actually ...prototype (mms in)...m and i...prototype will upgrade with i software...m will take on i software after some \"memory management upgrade\" kind of a 2 step flash....but for shore all will upgrade...:-)

Firstly I would like to thank anyone for reading the post...It is far away from the beginning of the topic :-o. I study communication sciences,but I don't want this post to be any lecture.Just wanted to point out that SE is now a new company and does not have to keep promises made by a former one,which does not imply they will not.But the thing that makes me most angry is that they don't seem to be willing to clarify to us,their former and future customers,what is going on at SE.It would cost so little...

pinolo77, I'm gonna have to disagree with you because SonyEricsson might be a new company but they are still selling and supporting old Ericsson and Sony handsets which means that if an MMS update was promised for the T68 then they will have to honor it, same way they still honor their warranty. |
