I chose the P800 cuz I wanted an all-in-one device. The T610 is a REALLY GOOD choice if you don't want, or need, a touchscreen (trust me, sometimes it's a hassle)

The T610 is a kick-@$$ phone, the P800 is a hybrid.

If you always bring your PDA with you... go with the P800 instead and sell your PDA. But if you want a split solution, wait for the T610.

Does anyone actually know how much memory is left for the user to "use"? i've heard 500KB, 700KB and 1.5MB.

Also, does anyone know if Sony Ericsson has set a definite release date yet? Because once agin i've heard conflicting reports, all the wa from April:lol: to July

I think the T610 should have about 1.7MB to 2MB for the user... but of course, when you buy the phone (just like the T68i) it comes with preset stuff... some you might like, others you won't... just delete.

@ppcrockar

Thanks for the feedback. A phone that has decent tracking (like 7650, I mean wave it around while taking photo's and it will hardly blur) is definitely a plus.

On the other hand the review by djk (thread: T610 - My comment after trying) doesn’t look al that optimistic. Though some of the things he said contradict with the review at www.mobile-review.com (best to believe the website review I guess). Can't wait to own a T610

Well.. I have to say that I didn't wave it around and took pictures. I did track one person though and the screen kept up quite good.

After my short test I'll have to say that I'm very impressed with the T610. The shortcomings of the T68 seems to have been fixed and with some major new features it is a winner in my book.

Well I'm not gonna wave it around while shooting photo's but I just wanted to know if it was any good. Take the Sharp GX10 for example, it's tracking is super crap.

I have another question. Because of the "limited" memory, is there an easy way to send pictures to an e-mail account (not by MMS cause it's €xpensiv€ ). Does the easy internet button play any role in all of this?

Thanks in advance great prophet of the almighty T610

I have real concerns about the memory space in the t610. In order to download Tony Hawks, I had to delete an awful lot of stuff off my phone including all my other games.

Kinda sucked.

Yeah, I see what you mean. I think the T610 has quite good tracking.

AFAIK, it should be possible to send a picture to an email adress with the built-in email client. This is already possible with for example the T68i. I'm not sure about the internet button, but my guess is that is only for launching the wap-browser. When it comes to flexibilty of the phone software SE/Ericsson has always been ahead of the rest.

You cannot rely on SE to give an accurate release date - infact NONE of there phones have been released when they initially have said they would (as far as I can recall). If they are saying May then I wouldn't get my hopes up, wait for June (if we are lucky) or July (to be realistic).

I'm getting a P800 next week (Thanks to the persuasive arguments put forward on the UK Thread) and later am going to sell my T68 to get a T610.

CAN'T WAIT
Try not to block with your face when I am beating you Mr. Nokia ;o)

@ lightboy

I think you are a bit unfair when saying that all SE/Ericsson phones has been delayed.

The T28 was delayed, if I remember correctly the T68m was delyed a little as well. And of course the P800. The other SE/Ericsson phones has not been delayed.
