Hey you guys
I have been reading the diffrent posts in the forum and i still can't make up my mind in which phone to get. Since I'm a real sucker for tech-gadgets i love the P800, but the price is somewhat above my pricerange and I also think it's a little to big and versitile.
I want a phone to fit in my jeans pocket and not bulge to much.
So I have been waiting for the T610 but was sorry to read that it dosent support mp3 or mpeg....
So what do you guys think??...What phone should i get?
The small and durable T610 or the tech-monster P800?
I would really appreciate reply's from people who have "handled both phones" |

You may have to wait 4 a bit, coz T610 isn't out yet. I have experience with neither, but I wanna get myself a T610 as soon as possible. Good luck.

It's a though choice that is for sure. I've played a bit with my brothers P800 and I had the opportunity to test a T610 (from a friend that works at SE), and according to him the T610 will be available here in sweden within 2-3 weeks.
I have to say that I think they are great phones both of them. The T610 has a fantastic screen with bright and vivid colours. No lagging like on the T68. The P800 also has a very nice screen, but the T610 screen is a little better IMHO. But on the other hand the P800 has a much higher resolution which is nice aswell.
I was thinking of getting the P800, but after trying the T610 in real life I have to say that I'm leaning towards getting a T610 instead. The reason for this is mostly because of the size. Sure the P800 isn't that big actually when you hold it, but the T610 is almost the exact same size as the T68. Another reason is that I don't think I'll actually use the PDA functions of the P800 that much. I have a Palm which I mainly used for the calender and phonebook, but since I got my T68 I've hardly used my Palm anymore.
But I'm still not 100% sure though Everytime I play with my brothers P800 I get really impressed and I almost change my mind again.
The webbrowser Opera for the P800 is one major point for getting the P800, but on the other hand with todays GPRS prices I think webbrowsing will be too expensive. (Right now I have Comviq and it's free, but when they will probably start charging for it sooner or later).
The third party apps for the P800 is also very nice, but Java and Mophun on the T610 in some ways makes up for this.
As for MP3, I still have my Ericsson mp3-player and I think I'll continue using it with the T610 (if I don't change my mind again )
The design of the T610 is really good, it looks great, and when I was holding my T68 and the T610 side by side the T68 design looked really old. Also the menus looks really nice on the T610, it really uses the 65k colours, and there are nice shadings and shadows in the menus.
I think you have to put up a small list with what is most important, and then decied from that list which phone fits your needs best.
I hope I haven't made you even more confused with this

No offence to anyone, but if you really need to ask yourself this question, then you're better off with a T610. |

its simple what you need in a phone? mp-3 and video? then go for the P800 if you don't mind the size, hate the size, then go for the T610. and when your rich go for them both |
