Hi,
Yeah, but those that have done the work around will not be able to flash update the phone to the next revision as Orange have removed the bug/security loophole for future rom revisions.

Those guys in MS are very stupid. You can't just take an OS which is for PDA's and make an OS for fones because PDA's has much more prosesing power. And look at it. They are developing tis OS for 2-3 years and it's still buggy. What the hell are they doing? A trye team of programmers would do that in 1 year the most and in 2 years they woyld beald a new one. How many are developing MS OS? They can't be more than 10!!! |

Why you allways so negative about Microsoft. I think MS SmartPhone will be better that Symbian in time. I think more software will be available for MS Smartphone. Just remember PocketPCs! I think they are better then Psion's.
But I would like to see that phones were so standars, like PCs, so that I could choose my OS.
Regards, Igor

Why can’t they do that? Isn’t that exactly what symbian has done? I did get an epoc series 5 PDA for like 4 years ago. And when I did buy my p800 I did recognize so much in it from that epoc device. So I’m pretty sure that they have counted to develop the OS that the did start to develop in the 80:s. How stupid is that according to you? I don’t think it is stupid because they invented a new type of multitasking that was very smart. And still they using the same idea in the P800 and that works great.
Do you think that all other companies except MS are staring from scratch every time they do something? Have you ever coded something in your life? It takes a long time! I mean building a completely new operation system for a new type of devices do you really mean that 10 person should be able to that in 2-3 years. I don’t think so!
For you info (Don’t know if its true but it is what I hear) it did take 2000 programmers (full time) 4 years to build Windows 2000.
Don’t get me wrong here, I love my p800 and I would never trade it for a device whit the same hardware and a MS OS instead. It is just that I get so mad at all this people that think they know so much about things.
And last and again (from my last post about this). Competition is what we need so be glad that they are doing this. It will make symbian of keep doing greater stuff. And don’t go around and hope that symbian will win, that will make us losers (they aren’t going to spend the same amount of money to make it better then. So lets hope that symbian and MS stay in this competition and that they will be as equal as possible.
God point there ihudol, it would be great to be able to chose the os you want.

Neonode, the new Swedish manufacturer plan to produce 30 000 units / month of the N1. This mobile phone is also powered by windows CE, like for the SPV.
But Neonode decide to use their own graphic user interface for the N1, because the device has a touchscreen.
Yes, Microsoft arrives on the world of mobile phone and he uses several strategies... or he launches several missiles against Nokia and SE!!!

Translation:
The production of Neonodes cellphone N1 has begun in Årjäng, Sweden.
The swedish company Neonode has began a cooperation with Elekromekan. And the production of Neonode N1 is allready in progress in Årjäng.
- They are a good manufacturer and we wanted to work with someone swedish, near us self to get everythink work as smoothly as possible, says Magnus Goertz, founder of Neonode.
The thought is that Elektromekan shall produce 30 000 units / month of the N1. And according to Magnus there allready are 10 000 preorders of the cellphone.
The first units will emerge in stores sometime during the spring.
