Why do you choose SE over Nokia? |

For me it was 90 percent because of Ericsson. Yes, their designs aren't too bad and their UI is still the best there is. Also, they WERE current in technology. Sadly, they are so far behind that I'm highly unlikely to buy an SE phone (until they sort themselves out) again.
Nokia has some good phones, albeit boring with boring UI, but I'm also unlikely to be going there either.
So, for now, I am casting my net wide.

I choose SE over Nokia because of its:
DESIGN- SE has its modern design which i love rather than old and classy design of Nokia.
UI-SE has its orignal UI which is easy to operate.
CAMERA-SE has more camera features and has better quality pictures.
Also, you can update the FW version of your phone. And most of all, you can mod your phone!

I think i'm in the same position as ranzon here lol except i've got a k850i and n82. I just moved away from home and during that time i had to use the n82 to navigate my way home, so it has gps, i know the camera is better, the video is better, it's more powerful( dedicated gpu), 3.5mm jack, bigger screen, stereo speakers etc etc
But despite all this i switched bak to the k850i soon as possible, i recently also broke the main camera button wen i opened it, but the n82 is still in the drawer. mayb i'm an silly, but i just love the design of the phone, and the UI as every1 says. IMO it just feels better pulling out a nice SE phone than a nokia...only nokia that feels that special was probably my old black edition 8800 but i sold that cuz functionality wise it was highly crippled, and the UI was still boring |

My reasons are
UI - A100, A200 <-- Best UI's I've used so far...
Design
Customizability (?), including the ability to mod the phone
Screen quality ("only" 262,000 colors and yet so bright and nice looking)
Did i mention UI?, the thing is that the guys at SE really did a splendid job while designing it...

I don't choose SE anymore because I think they've completely lost their way, but I did originally choose them because they had fresher designs and their technology was ahead of the rest. Neither is true now.
That said, I have never and would never choose Nokia (in their past or current form) simply because I find all their designs dated and ugly. I really dislike their interface, right down to the ugly font they insist on using for everything, and I think their software generally is pretty poor. As a committted smartphone user since 2002 they've never had anything worthy of my interest.

I had initialy chosen SE because they HAD a much better UI than the s40 i had at the time, they HAD the best image quality, HAD the best Music Quality, HAD a fast UI, HAD a great price to feature ratio, HAD stable phones, etc. . .but they no longer have any of that, now its just nice looking phones, with slow fancy looking Media players, bad FW support , and the same old fast port. After getting an S60 phone i havent realy looked back, got the K850 cause i couldnt get a N82, now majority of the time my K850 sits in its box, while i enjoy the FAST, very user friendly, very well supportd FW wise, stable, and highly functional Nokia N81 s60 smartphone, i usualy do loads of multitasking and heavy use, something SEs pretty little phones just couldnt handle, poor things.
