First off, snoFlake u lost me at "10yrs+ with ...
The rest was just typical bashing...

I think phones used to be special because they had a unique/cool design (by sony) and at the same time always introduced a new technology plus they all had a good baterry life (or at least average).

1) Which Sony designed phones are you talking about?
2) Average battery time? oh come on...

3) To All you saying don't have innovative design anymore and their phones all lookalike...
In how many ways can a phone be designed, really now, in how many ways?

You complain about everything, "oh it still has a D-pad and buttons around it" "oh it still has same old keys" wtf! really... got their unique design styl and Nokia has theirs. Then we have Samsung and LG that copy paste all others.

You guys want this and that and that and this, and when you do get it, you still find something to complain about. It is getting really boring now.

Saying that the W995 is like 18 months behind the rest is just...

Brightspark you who laughed hard at 's innovation, wow pure ignorance...

If you don't find a phone from that don't fit your needs, stop crying about it and go get a phone from a other manufacturer that does.

@Boinng and recl: why do you make fun of plankgatan?
You couldn't find anything wrong if his post so you now make fun of him?
...

@SloopJohnB: Have you tried the X1 and its media player?
Maybe you did but if you didn't then why do you have an opinion about it?
For 16:9 videos the X1 is far superior of the iPhone.

Sure don't have a killer phone that fits everyones needs, sure phones tend to cost more than the competitors, yes some:se: phones do lack some critical features for some users, but still the point is to have variety to try to cater most peoples needs.

did make some wrong decisions the past two years we all know that, but that don't give people the right to make things up and start complaining about nonexistent "problems" or missing features.

And before you thinking af starting to bash me and talk crap about what lover I am or that and blablabla, spare me the comments since you don't know shit about me.

So, you don't like a phone, don't buy it. You don't like a manufacturer, there are many other manufacturers waiting to grab your money.

Most of us are here because we like or once liked but lets not be fanatics ok, you don't like it? Don't buy it, don't cry about it.

The problem is the disappointment. If we canīt express it, whatīs the point of esato? We have to criticise for what theyīve been doing. I believe esato is a good resource for user feedback, perhaps feels the same. Itīs not that doesnīt have its own design or that it doesnīt introduce any new techs anymore, the problem is that the company is staying behind. Itīs simple to just say go and buy another phone but I think we all here believe things could be better and just keeping your mouth shut and buying a nokia wonīt help make the good phones that made us happy not long ago. Perhaps Idou can set the fire up again, who knows?

If you want to watch movies go and get a Samsung or Sony LCD 32'' full HD with a Blueray player!
Video mode on phones are for showing funny clips or songs clips not to watch 2 hours of Star Wars...

@SloopJohnB: It is good to do that, I feel the need also because of the past two years, but some people over do it :]
Also it seems some people just post negative stuff just for the sake of it.

Edit: About the staying behind part, well cutting down that hard on R&D is a disaster waiting to happen and felt that past year and I believe it was good for the company to see life is not just bright clouds and pink butterflies ;]

Video is great on a phone to have, for example if you spend 3 hours of your day in the subway or in the buss to/from work/university then its great to have.

Edit: To stay updated a bit, you know, watch the news and stuff where u don't really need HDTV :]

I'm looking for a phone to offer me decent - excellent internet access as I would like to do some trips without PC and I currently feel the best way to offer this on phone sized devices is with a touchscreen . Cam is nice and I've taken some pretty nice snaps on my W800 but the emphasis is just that - "snaps" to take real pics I get a proper camera out. I really quite want large screen, GPS and mapping, music player (duh) but not too fussed about video, calendar (run my diary on my phone. I obviously want email access and would like to be able to look at office docs but that's not vital and I don't write huge volumes of, or very lengthy messages on a very regular basis i.e. not enterprise level . On the other hand it must have easy SMS messaging that I can even use walking down the street with one hand (one of iphone's big let downs). Must have HSDPA and Wifi (to cut down on data bills abroad). Would like to install my own apps (book readers etc.) not too fussed about buying music online as I tend to rip my own. I've used/borrowed my brother's win mobile devices and really didn't get on with it the interface being very unintuitive practically requiring me to stop and think every time I replied to a SMS

Quite striking really in the above pic - if you don't want Windows Mobile (and I really don't recommend it) then the iPhone's your only choice apparently.
