Yeah, everything, I agree. I returned my C905 back because of poor build quality...(Made in China).

So what should I do now mines has broken twice? If I get it fixed it will go wrong again.

Can anybody confirm is this:

A software issue

or Hardware?

Would buying a new one from the shops make any difference or is it time to ditch Sony Ericsson?

Get one which is built W45 or hence since those sets dont seem to have that problem.

So the ones which are going wrong are early models?

Since it's broke twice can I request a replacement under warranty from SE? I don't want it fixed knowing the problem will return. I need a working phone so where do I stand on this?

I can confirm my C905 has the scratched keypad, wobbly slider and now this fault. I have also had issues with Wi-fi disconnects from any network outside the home and never managed to use it.

You would think they would have learned from the K850i which broke down on me and I had to sell it faulty and switch to Samsung. I don't get it the C902 is reportedly buggy seems everything after the K750i/K800i have been dud.

I don't get it as SE phones are great the last thing I expected to go wrong was "the phone part". This technology is 20 years old you would think tried and tested.

The phone should never have been released if these major manufacturing defects exist that's why the K850i has been pulled from the shelves and shops still stock the classic K800i.

I had a K800i was happy for 2 years till it got the dreaded IR flash and i couldn't be bothered fixing it as the case was well "aged"
I upgraded to C905 late Nov 2008 and until now I have had it for 6weeks as it keeps going back for repair either because the keypad has been scratched or the earpiece has died.

I'm currently going through the legal process in australia to Get out of the 2 year contract with this phone as I don't want it anymore. Sony can't supply parts in australia and the service centers take in excess of 2 weeks and return the phone faulty and damaged.

I am not impressed with the C905 and as much as I like the sony's it seems that was my last one.

I Strongly advise people not to get The C905,

That's my C905 gone now.

Told no time on how long it will take to repair. It's now in the hands of a SE service centre.

Feel very disappointed after paying £400+ and having waited on this since July for it to break down. Noticed a few K850i's in the repair centre which is no surprise.

You paid 400 pounds plus? I highly doubt that you said its under 30 days old?

I bought my c905 off ebay in november and paid £320.

And you might want to contact the seller you bought the phone off for proof of purchase
