How about the green tint that the P1 has on pictures. Is it also visible on pictures taken by the W960 ? I've seen some W960 pictures and indeed there seems to be a slight green tint on the right side of the picture, but maybe i'm biased into seeing one.

If that's still the case, it's quite lame from SE that in the several months since the release of the P1, they could not address this issue properly and still release a device with a flawed camera module or FW.

Waiting for W960 users impressions....

Anyone noticed any memory leakage? Is the menues faster than P990? Does the alarm work with phone off?

nope it's not working it's a symbian thing "i called SE and asked" and i have been told it's faster than p1 and i asume p1 was faster than P990

Actually, I think it's a "SE UIQ thing". I got a Nokia N95 8GB a while ago that runs on Nokia's Symbian S60 3rd Edition feature pack 1. I put my phone on silent every night before I go to sleep, so I'm not awoken by any late night calls, and it still sounds every morning! I think you meant "UIQ" instead of "Symbian" right, because technically both SE and Nokia smart phones run on Symbian OS?...

Nah, no biggie, I knew what you meant. How much did you pay for your W960 btw? I've poked around on eBay for unlocked W960 prices, and my initial suspicions about it's price were correct... On average I noticed that it cost about as much as a N95 8GB! That's just way too much to pay for what you get if you ask me. I hope you got a deal or your W960 subsidized with a contract...

@borisisinvin

phone price was 6195 SEK with but got a discount for 800 SEK. becaus i bound me 12 months, but i payed the phone cash so no monthly extra fee for the phone.

yeah it was expensive... and even more expensive now when it's broken (if you have read my other posts in w960i discussion, dropped it)

6195 SEK is 643,88 EUR or 922,16 USD

Got myself a W960 the days before christmas. I'm very pleased with it, but I found one thing, that I also had on my P990, and that is when I have used the web browser for a while in full screen mode and open up my bookmarks the lower arrow in the scroll list disappears and I can't see my 3 last bookmarks. They are hidden behind the soft buttons. I've tried to kill the application and start over again, but without success. The only thing is to restart the phone. Am I alone with this?
I can't either delete things with the C-button. Hate that!
Cheers,

$922.16!?! Are you serious?.... Ouch! That's more than $220 more than I paid for my N95 8GB, and over a month ago, and nows it's broken?... Tell me they'll replace it for you?.... Did you get a warranty?....

If you drop it, you need insurance not a warranty.

The W960i was very expensive when I saw it in The Phone House in Stockholm, but like all SE products, the price is bound to drop very quickly.

The original N95 and the E90 were silly money when they came out too. Any supplier will try and get as much money as possible for something in great demand.

I just picked one up for $550. It was used, a week old, in perfect condition. Should be here today.

i got warranty, but the service just got it so they will start next week i hope, so i will have to check their website for info on my phone.

Teah it was expensive but i like the store and the people where i bought it, and i "reserved" one of 2 that came ony to that particualar store. i guess it's the price you will have to pay to have it first. got mine the 30-november.

to bad i am so clumsy it seems...

twice my C key has worked to delete sms, but most of the time it doesn't. It says "the mess is write protected".

And please keep discussions of price etc. on another thread. This thread is bugs only!

Since just before christmas my W960 has shut down 4 times when I have had it in my pants pocket. I can't restart it without first release the battery. It has never happened outside my pocket. I've tried to press the different buttons for a long time to see if that is the problem, but without success. I always keep it in my walkman pouch.

One issue I notice (maybe not a bug, but design flaw) is that I can't delete messages (sms) by checking the check box next to the message in the in-box and then selecting delete from the menu. I have to open each message individually then delete them. Anyone else notice this?

Other than that I don't have any other issues (knock on wood). Having had an M600 awhile back the software certainly seems faster and more responsive.

One thing I am dumbfounded over is the lack of auto focus on the camera. Is the P1 the same way? If not I'd consider that a design flaw as well.
