Yes unfortunately if you turn off the p800 alarm is not working.....

tested 5 days ago and didn't wake up

i guess this phone must equip with bluetooth headset. so that even when the phone rang with silent also u can heard the ringing tone on ya bluetooth headset.

further more if i own one P800. i dare not directly answer the phone like i used to my T68i. coz it's so bloody sensative using a TFT screen. i would rather use my headset when any phone call coming in or out.

guess that's why the nokia 7650 it's not a TFT touch screen. then only u can answer from the phone not the headset.

If you use the flip close, the touch screen will be deactivated.

Even without the flip the screen is sunken into the phone so your face does not touch the screen. Tried a display unit. Works as intended.

This is correct, the phone MUST be on for the alarms to sound!

I don't get it seriously....... Is the P800 not advanced enought to keep time when it is off?

yes this realy is anoying thing here reading all the posts now of the battery life doest make it better someone is got to come up with a software solution i dont realy care if its updated in the next p8oo firmware or if its some 3rd party software .....

this is just too lame for a phone in this price range i hope that someone is working on this already as i tipe this ....

is there a way to use have your alarm on while your phone is silence(not off). want to check on missed calls next day when i wake up..
there has to be a way!!!
the flight mode will only help you to use the alarm but not to recieve missed calls next day..grrrrr
