Hello.
Just download P800 final manual (http://www.sonyericsson.com/downloads/P800_UG_R1a_EN.pdf?traceClick=yes) and on page 113 find this: Alarm requires that the P800 is turned on.
So You can use P800 as alarm-clock only if you let it ON over night (and you will be waked-up by every SMS or call).

Can anyone of proud P800 owner here test this "feature" and inform us, if it is true?

Thnx

Hm, I know this feature, but on P800 you have these choises: switch to silent mode (no wake-up by SMS and calls, but also by alarm, not usefull) or change ringtone and SMS tone every evening (not usefull, much time).

At least in the t68 the alarm worked even if u had the phone in silent mode.. Pretty crappy if this is not the case with the p800.

Another way is to get rid of your friends so no one calls u at night

No one owner of P800 here to test it?
It is all still speculation, so we need to verify it, please.

That would work, not meant for excactly this, but would be the same as closing the phone and keeping the alarm (Of course this drains battery cos the PDA-part is on all night)

How is that usefull? More like incredible annoying to anyone in the close proximity of your phone, if you ask me.

it all depends on your needs, sometimes when f.example in the subway you dont hear your phone when its just a simple beep, it would be very useful to have it ringing a bit longer..

But.. all depends on your needs, if you dont feel it is important to read the messages instantly, then just turn the feature off!
I just always think its cool when a phone has some new features, and this must be the first time a phone has something like this!

yeah... but at least it's useful for someone who always want the latest update info. from everyone.

i always missed my SMS after a few hours. and when i reply back it's already too late and the chics already dated with some others.

so to me.... IT is USEFUL!
