@ plankgatan
Do you have the full size pics not the reduced ones ? When reducing you artificially increase sharpness and hide the hideous JPEG artefacts this phone introduces. Thus increasing perceived quality.
Oh... and PLEASE do the washing up

@plankgatan:
you constantly thread-crap other threads with your photographs and "the k850 is the greatest cameraphone in the world" statements. frankly, it is getting annoying.
get this through your skull: just because YOU take great photographs with the k850, does not make it a great camera phone. clearly, you are the exception to the majority. let other people dislike the phone and stop pushing your opinions.

I'd agree.
I've yet to get a satisfactory photo from my K850i. |

The K850i with R1CA037 firmware I have to admit that the photos are so much better than the R1CA029 firmware.
But that doesnt mean i think the K850i takes better shots than the K800i.
What i can tell you though, The K850i on paper has better colouring and are more sharp than the K800i, (Only with the new firmware though), Previous firmware i also had various of problems with dark pics.
To be honest as well, I point and shoot, like i do with all my cameras. everything is left on auto (altho i have played with the settings and can confirm that pics do change rapidly in quality if you do.
But me, i just get it the phone out and take the pic, cant do with hassle
But i still think that there is still loads more potential that we could get from the K850 if only SE would let us.

Relax Numb,
Looks like you have got carried away from the 5 mp boom,
great photos dont necessarly come from a great camera but rather from a great camera + a great user.
There is a big science as to how to use a camera, there's lots of focussing, adjusting and alot of study to do before you pick up the camera....best purchase a good guide which will tell you how to click good snaps.....
I'm going to agree with numb here. I've known him to be one of the active posters during the K750/W800 glory days about those phone's camera performance. He definitely knows what he's talking about.
And plankgatan, being the top K850i defender on this forum, may I ask:
When taking a picture with K850i, how many shots does it take you on average to get the perfect shot of a scene/subject? How many manual settings/tweaks do you have to do? Or do you manage to always get the manual settings right for every shot?

k850 is easily the Macro king.
this close enough for you:P?
i dont wanna fight, BUT dont you see the difference between this two pics ??? it have not the same sharpness, colors....like i said before, you cant find a cell phone who manage this type of Macro like k850.
k850 can handle low light realy realy good..(and trust me, i like all of my phones...im just nagging about this because i know i right about Macro, low light pics with k850) .....k850 is the real Macro king

First time I see you actually compare one of your full size photos and complain about someone else showing shrunken photos?!?!

Really? The most common use of macro shots is to magnify the objects being photographed. As such, your thumbnailed-sized photos do not technically speaking qualify as macro shots.
Here is a true macro shot of an old Swedish post stamp, about 3/4 inch in size:
And here's a 800x600 crop from the above:
Needless to say, the above photo is not from a K850.

@ plank, stop shitting over ever thread about the k850i, the camera sucks at full res, you seem to be only able to show the same few pictures fullsize and the rest you shrink, it's like you're embarrased about the cam. |

ha ha ha.....yeh, whatever.............
some of you guys are the sadest bunch of people ive seen...you complaing about k850 pictures, BUT you havnt ONE SINGLE picture from your own cell phone who have better quality......
like i said before, there is NO cell phone on earth who have perfect sharpness in full size, IF the picture is taken in less light, etc.......how hard can it be ??????....you need a +£300 digi cam to get that quality.....
here is a pic i took this morning....directley from the phone....the colors/sharpness is realy good, EVEN in full size, (this is early in the morning, which mean less light, but still it looks good in full size....strange)

Well, I think this photo:
http://www.esato.com/phonephotos/viewphotos.php?pid=8117#
is better, than your macro photos, and it's not taken with K850i. It can fairly be compared withs this, imaginary (meaning that exif was edited) K850i
shot!

p.s I don't want to fight about this, I'm just expressing, my opinion.
AbuBasim, I hope you don't mind I took your photo, as an example.

@centur....i think k810 is one of the best camera phones on the market...(no doubt about that)..i realy enjoy taken pictures with my k810, gets often realy good, (i get allways better pictures with my k810 then my k800. i asked support why, i their answer was that k810 have a more optimized camera software).
k810 is realy awesome...there you realy right
---------------------------------------------
@salih...that pic is awesome, BUT ive seen many more i-mobile macro pictures (on the web) who dosent have the same sharpness....(but yes, that pic "glow" ....sometimes you get this "lucky" shoot (if you understand what i mean)
