these new Hpm-88 are based on the sony's MDR-NC22 and I think they might be made by sony as well, so these will be the ultimate choice of se headset. But for now, why not consider the hpm-77??

Active noise canceling scares me i wonder how these are for practical usage. Good for noisy places though

recently got hpm-82 and works perfect with my k800 ... even the controls work good with a minor yet tolerable delay

Hehe great. I thought the remote controls work only with walkman phones. I have heard also that HPM82 knows to make problems with K800 running on older firmwares.
