what you said doesn't make sense. why would use a keypad on a prototype and on final product use a different keypad? it's called a prototype to see how it's working, to observe possible design problem. this keypad is similar with p990. p990 didn't had problems, so this would be changed.

Well some sources have said that the keypad on the P1i prototypes may not be final (I think Rafe on AllAboutSymbian has mentioned it) so it's possible.
I am very sure that the pic IS the M600c in any event.

those kind keypad looks not as nice as M600, but is more finger friendly imho
