How about the size of every single picture taken by its camera for 10 MP?
My Sony DSC-T10 (7.2 MP) consumes about 2.7 - 3.2 MB for each picture.
Apple iPhone 4, HTC Evo 3D, HTC Sensation, HTC Inspire 4G, HTC Desire S, HTC Wildfire, S001, SO905iCS, T650 (Gold & Green), C901, W800, K660, K700, Beibei (G702), Severine (DEAD) |

you do realize the lens only comes out when you take pictures. |

I'm not much of a fan of samsung and wouldn't consider buying it. I'm still with SE, however I have one question for those who are like me who love SE- what if this was an SE phone with 10mp camera and optical zoom? Would you still feel it's unnecessary? Please try and appreciate what this is likely to create- better camera quality on cellphones, be they 5 or 7mp. This phone's not only about the cam quality. |

When I take a photo with my K800i's 3 mega pixels camera, I reduce the photo to 1 mega pixels to get a better quality picture!
I guess when this camera has 10 mega pixels, it would have the best looking @ 5 mega pixels. And that's really enough, when it has 10 non-interpolated mega pixels.

True Enrico, 3.2mp quality is sufficient, 10mp is for professionals i think.

I've TALKED to a professional photographer back then . . . he TOLD me that a 6 MP Digicam will already SUFFICE . . . for almost everything: Printing, PC Viewing etc. higher than that . . . is just - BALONEY! Of course, the higher the MP for some . . . is much better ! But if we are to talk of PRACTICALITY here . . . a 6 MP will do, with this, I guess it will also apply with camfones . . .
Go Delilah . . . I mean - SAMSUNG !

It's not the megapixels that counts.
Instead of squeezing more megapixels into a phone, and thus creating huge sized low quality pictures, they should install good quality glass lens, and bigger CCD with good lowlight sensitivity and less noise.
3 Mpx is enough for all.
The reason I think is marketing. 10 megapixels could be selled easier then 5 Mpx even if the picture quality is the same.
Almost everybody searching a new phone has no photographing knowlegde at all, they only know that 10 is more than 3.

I think Peter is right. Between and Samsung, makes BETTER digicams . . with that, the PREMISE of assuming that will make better camfones as well is very and HIGHLY - PROBABLE . . . I am seeing some Samsung digicams OUT in the market as well . . . though very LIMITED, unlike with Sony Cyberhots . . . they carry models ranging from 3.2 TO 12 MegaPixels !

IMHO 3Mp is enough. They should focus on a more compact optical zoom and better video recording.
resistance is futile. |

Which the D900 covered, of course, it has a lot of flaws, but Samsung released another similar phone which has 3G or HSPDA or something like that. I'm pretty sure this B600's lens can't be too bad, I mean come on, Samsung makes pretty good quality stuff. I would wait for pictures taken by this phone first before you guys should judge.
@*JoJo
when did I say the W900i was shitty? I just said that people don't seem to complain when SE makes lame phones.

this phones been around along time and finally it's hitting the shelves all over the world.
tbh tho I think these major companys need to really sit down and survey what the consumer wants in there next handset.
are TV phones all the rage?
