Why wait for someone else to encode the "perfect video"..it's not a miracle when somebody encode's good quality video...lol. try it yourself..there's a multitude of diff program's that can produce good result's..imtoo, super, nero recode...it really isn't that hard... |

Maybe he was just looking forward to my contribution? i think he knows how to convert stuff himself using nero recode as he's done so before on a number of occasions, so im sure rockgali was just merely stating his appreciation in advance

more than likely...i found that psp video9 does a pretty good job of converting, tho, super is pretty damn good too. |

I tried using super yesterday for the first time, and it initially gave me some issue's with regard's to sound..
i encoded dumb and dumber at 250 for video, and 96 for sound...but when encoded, it gave me no sound at all..the file i was encoding from (dumb and dumber) was in avi...so i assumed it uses the mpeg4 container...tried again, and still no sound...but i am just reading the super guide which is on their site..seems pretty good... |

Also i learned yesterday that i actually CAN ffwd videos on the K800, after i believed that it couldnt do it like my W800 could. If anyone didnt know, go into your vid player via the 'entertainment' menu. soz if this is old news!

No probs ryan. The fast forward thing was one of the first things i went for when i had my k800 fully charged...glad it's exactly the same as on the k750i..also appreciate the "take picture" option too...it's one of the small attention to detail's the se paid, that brought me back to SE after 6 years. |

hmmm..super's just given me something amazing...a full film (dumb n dumber 1 hour 47 minutes long) in good quality, having just watched 20 minutes of it, at the amazing size of 16 meg...wtf????!!!...encode was 320x240..video bitrate 240. sound 96..no 2nd pass...weird..really weird... |

16mb for a 1 3/4hr film how the f**k did it manage that! or did you mean 16mb for 20mins? even for the latter, thats pretty good going...

No...16 meg for an 1 hr 47 min video!! christ..ain't got a clue what i did to warrant that...just recoding the same film with a higher bitrate for both video and audio...note...on the interface, it went straight through encoding and ghive an output status...so it appeared as if it were finished so to speak...but..if you go to program files/super/output files it still shows as encoding because the file size is getting bigger as i speak...now thats weird.lol |

Just a detail about fast-forwarding. It is now usable on the K800, because it speeds up after a second or two. Only takes 5 seconds or so to FF 20 minutes, not like puncturing your thumb on the K750 from holding down the joystick to FF to where I got to last time. FF is also reliable in full-screen - the K750 would crash most times when you tried that (or am I misremembering, and you just couldn't do it at all?).
Main thing I'm annoyed about is that I don't think you can do video playlists. Can anyone else confirm/deny?
Cheers

well, regarding fastforwarding on the k750i, it did it fine, but took it's time when going to any particular length..not that it was an issue as such... |

It certainly was an issue for me... |
