Someone said not to update the firmware as it may cause problems. Another person said the falshing led thingis not a bug but an indicator to say if theres enough light ?

Is it really that and does the new firmware version solve that.

i don't think it has to do with macro at all..

1. Press and hold camerabutton on the right side until you get in camera-mode
2. turn on LED by pressing *
3. toggle a few times from video/picture (i did this 3 times)
4. Wait 1 sec
5. now the LEDs are flashing, whether you are take a picture or not..

well the firmware solves the flashing led and shortcut key.
no other problems have shown otherwise... everything works well..

I have the same problem on my w810. the light keeps on going on and off plus the SOS is out of whack. i also noticed another problem, when someone calls you the icon on the screen goes bad. (the picture of the phone with the arrow) it goes blank then comes back on.

My current software
CXC1250316
R4CE012

Software update both on the pc and on my phone says there is no newer software.

Like i said before when the new software version is available for this handset se hopefully would have cured these problems. They are certainly aware of the problems. I am just about to de-brand my W810i as i have an o2 unlocked handset. There are only a few o2 things on it but i always buy sim free de-branded se handsets (this is the 1st time i haven't) I doubt by de-branding it though that it will cure the light problem. 2-3 weeks for a new software version is not a long time to wait so i'll just have to do that. Already de-branded my white W900i and it's brilliant. I hate anything to do with Vodafone (even the network) but they were the only ones that had the release rights to the W900i. I'll shut up now as i bet you've all fallen asleep. ;-}
