I agree about d-pads. I'd rather retain the proper joystick and clean it occasionally than use a D-pad.

Well, it's all pretty moot anyway as Orange will only offer the k600 as an upgrade, and I don't want that one.
(Or I could have the SPVC550, Samsung E530 or Nokia 6680).
Looks like I'll be moving networks, for the first time ever.
Sadly, I think the w900 is still out of my reach though. Shame the w810 isn't available yet.

Well, I hope you guys are right... I've taken the plunge and gone for the w800 (on O2).
I'm going to test this thing to death... any issues and it goes straight back!

i used to prefer the joystick over the d-pad, as they are more space-saving. but after using three joystick-enabled phones, i now begin to realize how inconvenient it is for the joystick to malfunction. d-pads may take up more space, but they are less prone to malfunctioning
