This is turning into Nokia vs SE part 3,294.....

It is now that I'm here along with mib1800!

In all seriousness, there will be non-touchscreen smartphones, but I think we are looking at next year for those and it is unlikely they will be S60.

Will the uiq3 without touchscreen be cheaper? & will there b a uiq3 with touchscreen? Man I m so use to touchscreen I cant think about going 4 a non touchscreen.
I was really considering getting the P910 next month. May b I ll wait till next year & save up 2 get d expensive uiq3 with d touchscreen. As for d 3rd party apps, I read somewhere on esato dat with little alteration uiq2 apps can b made 4 uiq3. Also read & saw a pic of d new opera 4 uiq3.....well I have 2 wait as well as save up. At least I know what I want.

Common feature? Huh! You are mistaken dear. All s60 phones dont have touch-screens...

scotsboyuk: can't resist joining in huh?

the big question is that whether an uiq3 non-touchscreen phone can break away from the fate of P** series (niche market, high price, low volume). SE fans are overly presumptous that uiq3 can even compete with Series60.

if uiq3 were to start from a zero software base, then SE may as well stick with its proprietary OS.

if there are no software available for uiq3, then it is just a normal phone with an smart O/S and not a smartphone per se.
