They will release a new firmware soon. Maybe this week (read my earlier post). But i think at worst it will be released sometime later this month. But they have managed this whole thing poorly.

Yeah, very funny indeed! And who are you? A superhero-technician who in a magical way can oversee ALL the K850 units and how they behave and are mannaged? Please!

I suggest one thing: Read this thread and other ones about K850 and then you will see that the big bugs are well spread. And to drop comments like "learn how to mannage your phone" is in best case a childish joke..but more tiresome than funny. And in worst case, insulting to a whole bunch of people. But i hope that that comment was just a joke.

and what if i say that you are kidding with us coz i really have no major prob with mine? but i never said that.
Every1 is free to pass his comments but if they don't match with your's then it doesnt mean insulting u. Ok

Anywayz
Is R6BC002 latest firmy for K810i for unbranded generic? or any update available?

coz I just tried to update my previous phone K810i which has R6BC002 and the SEUS says:
"update not available" and that my phone has already the latest software.

but when i try to update K850i (R1CA037 generic) the SEUS displays:
"Your phone has already the latest software" but it also gives me option "Continue Anyway".
What will they do if i click to "continue anyway"???

It just reflashes the firmware you already have, I think.

All the K850 firmwares have their issues - I find the issues on mine are not too bad, but I'd rather they were fixed. Different people are more sensitive to certain issues than others and notice them more.

I for one notice that all Sony software appears to be really slow and poorly made, but many do not see it. My K800 and my K850 both have some lag when controlling them too, again most people don't seem to notice these things.

Just because you can't see a problem does not mean it isn't there, it's just that either the problem is not revelvant to you therefore you haven't picked up on it, or that you are less sensitive to such issues. So many people don't understand this - buntoo in this case is just ignorant, and not necessarily stupid or trying to be irritating.

Yes but anyhow i wasn't refering to buntoo in my post. I was just stating the unecessary in saying "learn how to work your phone" to people that have obvoiuos problems with their firmware- and to say that feels just like a silly joke and/or just plain ignorant. Well well whatever.

On another note- I think that SE should send a mail or even a sms to all registered users, the second a new firmware comes out. That way you won't have to wait desperatley anticipating and watch the net like a hawk.

Well dont pass comment about people u dont know. OK
I like perfection & accuracy. I'm too sensitive that even if a original wallpaper is deleted then i sell that phone and buy another 1. a minor prob even irritates me badly n u say im ignorant..I'm a SE user since 4Years and i love to go in that details that many people just igonre. Well i dont want to express myself (its ur fault if u cant operate ur phone properly ). u've got a faulty phone. but in mine case I've neither any Cam prob nor any 1 else that other people describes.

@vbayma
Yup it would be possible for SE to mail us about new firmware. They mail us about new phones or tips about downloding stuff from their page "fun and downloads". Even sms-reminder would be possible since you already can gett settings for wap and mms via sms from SE. But i guess that's not their policy to do mail about firmware. Hm pity!

That would be useful, though I still reckon we would watch the net like hawks, though it may reduce the amount of people that do.

Well you took that pretty badly. I wasn't actually speaking against you. And what I meant to say was that you may be ignroant of the issues that are present because you haven't personally experienced them, not that you are generally ignorant.

I see you have the 037 firmware which is probably much more stable than mine. Unfortunately I'm stuck with the 029 firmware for the moment. It's not a fault with the phone, it's just bad firmware. All K850s will suffer from the issues present in the firmware, and some firmware will have different issues than others.

It appears that the 038/039 firmwares are the best performance wise, and while not perfect a lot of bugs are fixed, however apparently the firmware drains battery much more quickly. 037 appears to fix many of the 029 bugs and doesn't have the battery issue.

I would flash to a better version however I wish to keep the Three branding, and I can't get hold of 039, though in terms of the battery I'm probably better with 029 as while it's more buggy, it's still perfectly functional and will last longer.
