The only advantages the Nexus One has over the X10. Availability (hehe its already out), Android 2.1, and multitouch. Android 2.1 is not that much of an advantage either with all the software gap covered by Sony Ericsson's software customizations.
The X10 has a better camera, media player, and design (subjective). Hopefully it finds its way to AT&T like the rumour states.

It seems that 16 million colours isn't guarantee for success. Nexus One's screen looks very good, despite its screen is 65k. Anyone other pretending that X10's screen isn't good enough?
SE's screens are always MUCH better then Nokia's even though they are always 256k and Nokia is 16 million. Millions of colors are meaningless but people get hung up on it.
K770 (1.9", 256k color screen, TFT) Vs 6120 Classic (2", 16M color screen, TFT) - all set to maximum brightness

Will the X10 eventually have 16M colors? Have Sony said anything about that?

Google Earth looks nice, too bad we can't run it on the x10 for a while... |

Whilst I have been one of many on here to say that I am pretty confident that the UX adaptations to A1.6 made by Sony in the X10, will cover most of the potential shortfalls. I am pleased to see the excerpts from SE's opening conference of MWC showing both the "Continuous upgrade of user experience" - 7:57 p.m. And then the creation and co-creation with partners around 8:00 p.m. Sorry for the delay in posting this link guys, but I kept forgetting where I'd seen it.

Whilst I am happy that an X10 operating a stable A1.6 will be a tough competitor, I feel it will be improved by the later updates, for the numerous reasons outlined in this thread.
I just want to see it in the flesh for myself, really soon...

I think the tab show at top when you set this up on your home screen... like a widget...
xperia_man should be able to confirm this...

Mpla mpla mpla .... @sealover ..... and all over again... All day long tryin to convince us that this is the ultimate phone.Well it is NOT..
Just go and spend your money buying this phone(with a cheap screen with old OS etc etc etc).. it's your money... and IT DOES NOT affect an one more upcoming failure
And i speak NOT as a SE hater but as a Se..lover

Are you sure it has 16m for real ? Because it does not look much different from Nexus One.

@sealover94
Are you paid for throwing dirt on ? Why do you come here if the only thing you repeat is that Android 1.6 is the worst OS ever. Are you a forum Troll? Or maybe an angry fired ex-employee? I am setting my bet on the later.
Your latest statements (funny reading by the way)
- Just go and spend your money buying this phone(with a cheap screen with old OS etc etc etc).
- Even in customization SE just failed
- Another example of A2.0 ... Sorry SE
- One more time SE is far behind competition
- In a year from now Sonyericsson will no longer exist...
- But mark my words one more time.. in 3 months you will be searching for a new phone seeing how far behind the competition SE is!
- poor SE..... even Dell won't use 1.6 Android
- I feel so sad watching SE falling apart. Definition of self-destructive company
- whoever is thinking of buying a x10 with 1.6 version must be a fool
You are free to say and mean whatever you want about a product still under development of course, but this verbaly hatred are just making a fool of your self. That is my oppinion
