Just tried to change direct debit date and he said he couldn't do that???

Am I being screwed here?? Cuz i'll have to pay for the full first month surely?

Let me know if I should ring up again...!!

EDIT:

Do garbage threads not come up on the latest posts anymore?? Cuz i'm positing, but not seeing it come up on the home page... odd.

Anyway, I just want to know where i went wrong in changing the billing date/ DD date? I mean, I only just got the phone, but apparently i can't change it.... help anyone?

I can't change the date either.
I guess you have to pay £95 for the 1st month and £10 for the 2nd -12th

Orange told me that all their customers have the same Direct Dedit date i.e 15th

Merry X'mas n Happy new year!

@N6600, This CPW cheap phone thing has been well documented on here over the past month or so, if you check the threads you will notice you can downgrade the day you get the phone, why pay 10 days of the £95, thats £30.
Lots of us have only paid 1 or 2 days = £10 or less for the first month.
All my p900's are different billing dates set to about 4 days from purchase, but maybe they changed it.

To maximise profit, you need to do whaat i did, start buying & selling as soon as the phone comes out, (beginning of November) i was getting £550 per P9.

@N6600, I always get them from CPW because they will let you return it within 14 days for a refund (you have to pay for any calls & a proportion of the airtime) but its a nice thing to fall back on, if for instance they try to stitch you on the billing date, you can re order one & stipulate a billing date for ...say 3 days after purchase, tell them its because thats when your wages go into the bank or something
Reminder; milk, sugar, crisps, post letter.

I am going to give a bit of clarification here if it helps others.
Just rang CPW online sales people, mentioned the P900 on Orange 1000 deal. We then spoke in detail (me sounding like I knew nothing) - anyway - the lady said - on each order they say you cannot downgrade within 3 months. So I said - does it say that in the T&C - she said no. She then went on to tel me there is no clawback - Orange penalise CPW but CPW dont penalise the customer as its not in the T&C - but they dont offically state it - and U can see why.

Anyway - know just to find my nearest store that has a P900 in stock.

Scott

I purchased a P900 from CPW today on the Orange £95 tariff
.....but on getting home and reading the back of the CPW receipt in the terms and conditions of sale, under section 3.Terms of Payment, subsection 3.7 it says and I quote (quoting exactly 3.7 but summarised points 3.7.1 and 3.7.2)
"If you enter a nominated airtime contract and subsequently move onto a lower tariff or fail to fulfil your payment obligations during the minimum term of such contract, or you end such contract for any reason within 6 months of the commencement date and the relevant tariff includes a subsidised handset, you must, in additionto paying any other charges under such contract, either :
3.7.1 return mobile to CPW or
3.7.2 keep the mobile but pay handset price upto £250, which you authorise us to take from your nominated debit or credit card.

Does this mean, that if i drop the tariff down from the £95 rate within the first 6 months, then i am liable to pay a clawback fee from CPW?
Has anyone else got these terms and conditions or has this just been recently introduced? Note, I only signed an orange contract and a insurance contract, do these terms and conditions on the back of receipt still apply to me?

If CPW have introduced a clawback fee then I will be returning the phone under the 14 day money back guarantee.

I have 3 receipts...one for my insurance contract, one for my orange direct debit/contract thing, and one from CPW, which has details of the phone transaction at the till i.e P900 sold on Orange network at price of £0.00 pounds. Its a A5 sheet of paper which has been put thru the printer. On the back is the standard Terms and Conditions in very small print(which takes up the whole page and is preprinted).
I guess that these new receipt slips have just recently been introduced.

Ive also noticed that the website has put the phone price upto £150 on the 1000 mins contract now on Orange.
