do you guys know if the nokia 3650 gives any type of alert when getting bluejacked? My friend has one and I wanted to bluejack him, he had the phone in his pocket, but it did not alert him that something was incoming, so the transfer failed....help? That stuff sounds like too much fun Not enough BT here though...

The 3650 needs your friend to click YES to accept the message.
So do all Bluetooth Nokia phones, except the 6310.

@bocanito - well tell your friend to give you his phone and try out a couple of messages and different distances.

I know you have to click YES, but what I'm asking if it sends an alert when the data is attempting to come in...you know, like when a call comes in, your phone rings?

Nope, theres no alert when you try to send a message to a Nokia. It just comes on the screen, no vibrate, no sound.
The trick i use is, when im trying to send something to a Nokia, i search, start to pair with the phone by entering a code, and then quickly abort the pairing a few seconds after entering the code.
When you attempt to pair with a Nokia, it will make a noise. This will bring the owners attention to whats on the screen. If you then try to send them a message without pairing, they'll see the request and hopefully say yes.

Hi i'm new here and i'd like 2 ask a question: what's bluejacking? Just kidding.
i've finally read thru all the 180 pages. That took me quite a while. Well i've just got my new SE t630 and i cant wait till i start bluejacking people. You guys really got me excited about something i never even tried! Well i've got my t630 armed with some contacts already. Can't wait till i get my first victim.
keep the nice stories coming

You are actually wrong. I have bluejacked many nokia phones, and i got a nokia 7610 myself. And when someone sends me something through bluetooth there is a sound when the message or whatever it is, is received. Thats why i always listen for a nokia sound when i bluejack someone, in hope to see my victim. |

Well the 7610 is the first Nokia phone that does alert the user with a sound (except for the 6310).
I know the 3650, 6600, N-gage certainly dont - ive tried them out myself !

@ etaab
when you mean "pairing", searching for other BT devices and adding them to your phone?
