Guys, the firmware has to be on EMMA first, and it's not there yet, so just relax...
What is EMMA?
EMMA is the main server of all the Sony Ericsson's firmwares. |

You can't. I'd say that about 0.001% of the users here at Esato has access to EMMA.

Why is the hutch firmware named R1DA039 and not R1DA038 like the rest?
Hutch has specificly changed the firmware for there own means.
The other networks like Voda, Orange etc change waht they call the signature.
The firmware is the same, but it has there own branding. |

From Rogers' own website:
(http://your.rogers.com/investorrelations/rogers_wireless.asp)
Rogers Wireless is the largest Canadian wireless communications service provider, serving over 6.8 million retail voice and data subscribers at December 31, 2006 representing approximately 37% of Canadian wireless subscribers.
Are you trying to say that they doubled their customer base in 6 months?
Yes I am. Have a look.

[Quote=Digital Home]Rogers plans to report fourth-quarter results Feb. 22.
The following are Rogers’s subscriber counts as of December 31st, 2007 (numbers in parenthesis's were subscriber counts on Dec 31st, 2006).
Wireless
* Wireless PostPaid - 5,914,300 (5,398,300)
* Wireless PrePaid - 1,424,200 (1,380,000)
* Wireless Total - 7,338,500 (6,778,300)
This totals = 11828600 ... so I was VERY close, just wrong timeline (I said Q2 vs Q3 of 2007). rollout.
I'm sorry but your math is not adding up... The Wireless TOTAL is already the SUM of the PostPaid and PrePaid, so the TOTAL number of Wireless subscribers IS indeed 7,338,500. NOt sure how you end up with 11,828,600... Again - Not trying to start a fight - just reading the facts and adding them up. It just didn't make sense how can Rogers double there customer base in such a short period. I realize that they have more than just wireless subscribers, this is typical of just about any telecom nowadays, but for the purpose of their strength in this field, there wireless customer base is what counts IMO.

Yup, I guess I misread the report. my bad.
Mizzle, any hint on a clarified date for the K850i update? Is it going to be a Valentines present from SE? Also will you be able to update your K850i first before we'll see it posted here?
Sorry better question. Any word on what is going to be improved?

There was some white paper that was released depicting what would be fixed, but it was really unimpressive. |

If you refer to the product specifications, the K850 white papers, the they will not contain a change log (of the firmware). |
