And maybe it's a special new waterproof fastport?

Yeah mabey, I would have though water across every connection wouldn't do it too much good even with any special technology though. If they have invested in maikng the fastport waterproof it would have been alot cheeper to fit a waterproof cover imo.

Perhaps its more "splash resistant" than waterproof...?

EDIT: Really? Thats what USEB claims... And they did take a photo of the thing covered in water. Seems like a bit of false advertising and a recipe for disaster for those who decide to try...

but even if it is splash proof the y should have put a protection over the fastport, on my old T630 it got rusty without any special water drop treatment !!

Ah, well, might as well give in. I had heard it's waterproof, so posted it. I also trust PK, though, so removed it again. It does seem a bit strange that it should be waterproof with that lens cover, speakers and FastPort, as noted here.

Maybe there's something more to it?

On the picture, the water does look a bit "placed". Like how the water isn't touching any joins. Apart from the keypad.

See how the water is only in the middle of the screen and it hasn't quite dribbled onto the fastport?

Just thinking, waterproofing could explain that weird locking mechanism. Don't waterproof cases have ones like that? You'd need a better lock to prevent water getting into gaps.
