@cloroforme
Dude,
How about those email addresses for the top guys at SE - I'd like to hit them with some complaints too...
--
I'm fed up with this MP3 transferring problem, bought a card reader but it has probs with my MS Duo Pro (even though it says it supports those cards) so now I'm having to copy MP3s via bluetooth - this is ridiculous. Even had photo's dissapearing that I didn't have backed up
so we have a phone, that's also a camera BUT loses pictures, thats also a music player BUT loses music - nice features SE - how about dissapearing contacts in the next firmware!!!
Rant over.
BTW - Anyone reccomend a cheap card reader in the UK that deffinitely works with MS Pro Duo (512mb) cards.
Thanks,
Olywa

@Oly:
I tried a generic one that didn't work too... then switched to a Vantec one (check it out in their site... a black 11-in-1) that works fine and has nice quality |

| - BUG: Some phones experience MS Duo corruption after a firmware update. Symptoms include erratic behaviour of the Media Player and problems with the file system. This can be fixed by formatting the memory stick in the phone and then performing a Master Reset / Reset All. Note that this will erase all settings |

Negative guys, it doesn't fix the issue, at least not for me. Anyone? |

XP is a wonderfull OS it is far more stable than it's couterparts from previous years... However loads of software installations and unistallations, poor maintenence routines may just slug you pc down to a halt, besides untold backround issues that may very well be causing a few more users here more than a few issues...
I Use a piece of software called Acronis True Image 8.0 amongs other acronis pieces of software that enable me to keep my PC and tip top without the usual reformats and reeinstallation once a year or longer.
Your windows registry is very sensitive and a few 100 entries or so can confuse a great deal.... Any given software de-installation can leave hundreds of reduntant entrys behind...
You do the maths...
Personally I would know exactly what things to try and fix your issues but that is jobs I need to access a PC for...
I wont recommmend tools because if you suffer data loss because of misuse you may just be very unhappy...
Seriously now, the best thing you can do to your PC once a year is reformat and reeinstall.... With the True Image software I dont have to... takes me a whole 5 minutes to have a fresh PC...
I hate these replies but I fear i am unable to resolve the user compatibility issues...

I've never done any reinstall of XP since I've got my PC (in December 2004), so I guess that is the problem..... Thanx m8, I'll try to refresh my PC, and I hope that that will solve the problem.....
Cheers!

Hi group,
Has anybody noticed tat in R1N035 you can NOT save your preference mobile networks while in R1L002 you could?
I have a K750i (unbranded) and always kept up to date through SEUS.
Downgrading to R1L002 soves the issue, but after I upgrade again to R1N035 the problem resurfaces.

Configure it with latest drivers by downloading them previously for all needed parts...
I am sure you can get all adequate drivers but if you need assitance in aquiring them...
I will point you in the direction of a site that can assist you in slipstreaming SP2 to XP installation...
http://www.helpwithwindows.com/WindowsXP/winxp-sp2-bootcd.html
There are a few crucial points and preparation before you undertake such measures...
Preparation is the key to sucsess.
PM me if you need help gathering lastest drivers for your chipset... burn them onto CD and when you got the lot... GO!
Backup the wpa.dbl file in your pc...
look here

Apologies for going way off topic....

Where can I find the DUTCH firmware of version R1NA005 for my Orange W800i? Because last night I have updated my phone and hoped I had R1NA005 but it was the crappy R1N035
Please help... everything was perfect with the first firmware (R1L002)

Do you have a w800i? I do and as you say: everyrhing was perfect with the first firmware! And you canīt flash it back to the first firmware.
The R1NA005 (iīm using it) didnīt solve my issues with the crappy mp3 player that worked perfectly before my upgrade to the new firmware (check out my post in the other firmware forum where you also wrote a post. One feels "trapped" since one canīt go back to the first firmware.
I donīt think you can use the R1NA005 that i use since i have an unbranded phone, but i got mine from the swedish SE site. Not sure how it works with firmware on branded and unbranded phones.

what are the signs that a firmware update through seus is successful? are all datas erased? I'm on R1L002 and tried to update through SEUS. after updating and seeing the progress go to 100%, i checked the phone and its still R1L002 and all my contacts and pictures are still there. what do you think? |
