Yes, I was waiting too.
I just got an email from 02,
"I am sorry that you are unhappy with your Sony Ericsson K750i and Bluetooth Headset. As the order gm-xxxxxxx is within 14 days of purchase, you can return the order."
I'm not unhappy with either, per se, just that they don't work together at the moment as intended. If I wait for the firmware, and it takes longer than 14 days, can I still return the phone, if, after the upgrade, it still is not working correctly I wonder?

Gutten Tag,
I've noticed that wiping most of my games (I had 171 on the phone's memory card) has now cured the stalling issue. well at the moment anyway.
I just wondered how many games people are storing on the phone? |

I was in the same boat which caused all the problems....up until 14 days you can without question or effort return the phone for a replacement or refund.
Up to 28days you can get a replacement
I wished to get a refund on day 24 on the grounds that they COULDN'T provide a 100% working handset before 28 days elapsed....caused a massive argument etc but technically within rights to do so....in the UK anyway according to Citizens advice and Trading standards (who called me after the event to ensure i hadn't had further trouble) they were most interested to hear that the O2 store HAD caused further trouble

Well Yet AGAIN,
I got a new K750 from O2 and guess what?...............It crashes, I had a look at the firmware and it was still the same as the orig. So I've phoned them up again and spoke to someone who didn't have a clue what I was talking about, I fobbed them off by saying I had to go. I called back straight away and spoke to someone else that knew what he was doing. He's sending me out yet another phone and I hope this time it works

I'm just getting so sick and tired of being fobbed off, given the run-around, one department not knowing the same info as another etc...
I've already had Trading standards on the case to confirm i wasn't doing anything wrong....the very nice lady that had ownership of my case gave me her direct line and told me to phone back if i got further problems...well i am...
Called them on saturday to get this all sorted out finally and they said they would get it done over the weekend and call me back on monday lunchtime to let me know .... no call...called back, got through to the same person i dealt with on saturday...asked why he hadn't called...just said "sorry, busy, it'll have to be wednesday now...is that ok?" ... what choice do i have? you ain't doing it today?!
I've had it with O2 .... 11 years a customer and they can forget about my custom (£60+ month spend average)
Can't stand incompetance...

Well, the end finally came and my K750i is now sorted - long story thou, and involved me getting rather angry in the O2 shop this afternoon!
Basically, i went into collect my K750 this afternoon, after being assured by staff last week that it would be ready on Monday - guess what, no sign of the phone. I got pretty heated with a member of the sales staff who rang the repair centre and was told in a rather wishy washy way that the phone would be in the next couple of days. I said, no good, i wanted it today, i also told them that there computer system told me that the phone had been fixed last wednesday (according to there system), 'where is it' i said - the girl rang someone else who told her that it had been dispatched yesterday - WTF, 'how can i be dispatched on a sunday' i said. Then i started fuming as it was apparent O2 were lying to me.
Anyway, sales staff directed me to the manager, who was pretty good, explained my situation, he rang and was told that apparently my phone hadn't been fixed last week - it had been sent to O2 for a replacement, which wouldn't be at the o2 store for another week or so - he said that was unaceptable and offered me a point blank exchange - so he lifted a brand new K750 from a box and gave me the phone, which i was happy with, just signed some paperwork, and walked out of the store with a brand new wiped k750.
So got it sorted in the end - didn't lose too much as i'd backed up my old phone on my mac - good news is that i have the original RA001 software and fingers crossed so far no crashes!
Just wish O2 hadn't fobbed me off, but utimately, im back with the K750!!! |

Thats whats annoying me...getting fobbed off ... also most of the "replacement" stock doesn't appear to have been updated at all or it sounds like R1L isn't 100% either
I only spend 2 days in the UK each week at weekends and so far the last 3 weekends have been taken up by a total of about 14 calls to O2 customer services to be told different things each time without the next being aware of the progress or lack thereof of the previous call...and 3 visits to the O2 store where the attitude of the staff has been rude, insulting and unhelpfull
