@gelfen - Looks like I am being more excited than you ... here ! With your last post, I am beginning to imagine a certain movie that I just watched 'bout 2 months ago having the same scenario . . . hmmm let me think of the title, it stars - Robert de Niro, playing a retired CIA Father, who has a beautiful blonde daughter being courted by a weird looking Hollywood actor, it's a COMEDY flick, where a CAT also in the starring role. I saw a part there where one of de Niro's daughters were wed in a garden . . . Well anyway, good luck mate . . . I'll be watching this thread! I hope you'll continue posting till the HONEYMOON night . . . |

@JN asked about the reception menu so here 'tis:
Starters - Antipasto platter
Entree - Whiting with lemon-butter sauce on a bed of rice, or Canelloni all fiorentince (spinach, ricotta and tomato with bechemal sauce).
if i have both the antipasto and the canalloni will i still be hungry?
Main - Veal Scallappine al vino bianco and funghi (white wine and mushroom sauce), or Chicken Chasser (tomato based sauce with red wine, mushroom, bacon, etc.)
Dessert - Creme Caramel, or Pofiteroles
Afters - Weddding Cake, tea and coffee, fresh fruit platter.

Yummy, sounds nice! I'm getting peckish anyway, that's just finished it off....
Sounds like preparations are proceeding apace, I've got all this to come as me and my girlfriend are engaged, but haven't a clue about what to do about our wedding! We're wondering about disappearing somewhere nice, just the pair of us and getting married there, then having a reception at home.

Sounds like a good idea. Wish i'd thought of it. Had a nice celebratory lunch at work today. My colleagues gave me a set of personalized bath towels.

neither did we until about two weeks ago!
actually i've been fairly circumspect about giving out too many details too early, but now is as good a time as any:
the ceremony will be at St. Peter's Eastern Hill, an Anglican church over the road from St. Patrick's Cathedral in Melbourne, starting at 2:30pm. the reception will be at The Luxor, in Taylor's Lakes (the place looks a bit dodgy on the outside - mustard orange with palm trees in the front - but it was really nice inside and we know the food is good quality).
our honeymoon won't be until after New Year, with 7 nights on Brampton Island off Queensland and 4 nights in Sydney. while in Sydney we will be seeing The Lion King - The Musical and We Will Rock You. everything else we will probably just play by ear.
in the meantime we will be living with my fiance's parents until christmas while her father and uncles are finishing off the unit we will be renting until our house is built.
lucky i took today off work to clean house in preparation for the groomsmen coming over in the morning, not to mention the photographer and video guy. on top of that i have to write my speech!
as they say in the classics - it's all happening.

This is where your wedding and reception is gatecrashed by half of Esato lead by Masseur and Kim!
Sounds like a great wedding and honeymoon, I'm not sure yet what me and my better half are doing for our wedding yet - our first priority is getting a place together and then sorting out the marriage.
