At first please notice that the newest f/w with nubmer 038/039 is only available for branded phones ... Generic customers of SE have got only 037 ... But in 037 there are some major bugs ... Esspecialy equalizer bug withc makes me nervous to set up manual seeteing every time i want to listening music and that makes me angry so please don`t tell me that there is no needed new f/w ... i forgot abut bugs in connection with hbh-ds980 and volume control ... I want to decrease and increase volume without reboot my k850 ... and thats the reason why i`m waiting for new firmware so don`t say that the lates one i ok ... because for me the latest one is 037 ...

Just tried seus and still no update for my 038 o2 k850i. Is it being rolled out slowly? Is this 039 firmware a hoax? Why I'm I so Obsessed with this? ............... |

Well well well! I just got off the phone with a now FORMER SE service centre and they told me that in Sweden there are as from december last year no service centres exept one(and that repair shop is horriffic by the way) So some of the phones will in our case be repaired abroad and the rest by the only SE repair shop. Thas's gooood customers care indeed!This is now under somekind of negotiation because of protests from the retailers. So there is hope.

Its a good thing SE dont make my car then isn't it ! Oh and its getting serviced this friday. They even come and pick it up so I should be ok on all roads and highways

dude i wasnt being serious! forums like this exist for us upset users to vent a little frustration while we wait for our phones get fixed. |

-I want to use manual equalizer
-I want to zoom in on pictures without the need to reboot (so i can change volume)
-I want a better camera driver.. the light sensor and flash still needs lots of work. Only a couple of photos i took with my k850 are actually better than those i made with k750.
-I want to be able to use the media player without the major lag.

Whereabout is the equalizer, I can't find any settings! manual or auto |

ok I found it, not very easy to find though is it, doesn't even mention it in the instruction manual, does this mean you have to set the equalizer for each individual track?
Back on topic.... I want new firmware. |

No not for eah individual track..it works like every other equalizer (on an amp, wmp, itunes, winamp etc.)
Even k750 had an equalizer. |

Just spoke to sony tech support in the uk and they advise that "3" are currently testing riba030 and this should be released soon. could not say a date though |

Guys... I managed to get the 'H' icon on the phone... which then promptly crashed... does this mean that there could be an issue with the software handling the switch from 3G to 3.5G?
BTW, for my 2p worth... What I want in the new firmware:
- faster operation;
- stable OS;
- no lag in Media Centre transitions
- PROPER MP4/3GP video support
- MegaBass fix;
- SenseMe for music files not ripped from CD's
- Camera driver improvement
- Do SOMETHING about HSDPA!

Yes, and in the K750 and K800 it was easy to find!! I've got an iPod since then though so this is only a secondary mp3 player, and that is a really stupid place to put the eq settings anyway! |

I don't think much people here cares about what SE is testing out for the future but what matters is releasing something to fix the current bugs and boost the phone first. |
