Knowing how Orange operate and the retention tariffs available to existing customers this deal doesn't add up at all? Best deal they currently have on offer for existing customers threatening to cancel is £25.00 for 500 minutes any network any time and up to 100-200 texts per month. I would double check the details of the deal you have signed up for and that you're not getting a discount for a limited period. If the deal is is good then congratulations....this is possibly the best deal I have ever known Orange to offer.

To be honest all i really wanted was the k800i phone for free - which after 3 years with o2 was, i thought, the least they could do for me, but they wanted me to pay £120 first, and then they dropped the price to £69.99, but wouldnt give it to me for free, despite my £30pm contract with them,
Orange gave me the k800i free no problems hence my move over to them, but im not sure if i have got a good deal or not tbh |

I just spoke to o2 customer services (i've got an issue with a plan i got through the link) and they offered me a deal with the free k800i for £19/month with 50min and 100 txt if i finished with the link - much cheaper if you're just interested in getting the phone. The link came back and gave me those great SE external mini-speakers, the w810i sound-cancelling earphones, headset and (credit for) k800i bodyglove case. All i need now is a free m2 card!!
It's crap how phone companies don't reward loyal customers though - and they deserve people leaving them in those circumstances. |

i have been with orange for 4 years now and when talking to the guy on the diconections line we were having a really good laugh about his friend sat next to him in the office, just being friendly and having a laugh with the guys and girls on the phone can work wonders, so much so HE was actually asking me what i wanted and kept offering me all sorts of blinding deals.....happy days |

Just called O2.
Was qutoed £15pm x 12mnth contract for O2 250 plan (250 xnet mins and 100txt) but £79 for the handset.
What do you guys think...good deal or should I hold out?
If they did call my bluff and I got my pac code is that final or can I then call up in a few days and say I've reconsidered???
Cheers

call them, tell them that in the catalogue the high street shops are matching online o2 for handset price (which is free on all online contracts providing they have it in stock) so you want it for free or get them to bring the price down at least, but £15 p/m isnt too bad for 250 mins 100 txt |

Sorry, u saying that O2 shops are matching online offers or they are offering more than O2 online?
also, anyone know about the pac code question as this will be my last bluff...but I don't then want to turn around and say no, I've changed my mind and then have them say too bad.
Cheers

Update.
Called the 0800 028 8151 number and after 5+ mins of hold music got through to a very nice lady.
Immediately said "I'd like my PAC code please"...she asked why and I explained that I'd previously called through this morning to upgrade and that I had been offered £15pm but the handset was going to cost me £79.99 and that I had found alternate offers on various other networks offering the phone free for differing monthly amounts in combination with "x months free" or "x months half price" offers (go to e2save.com for a very good list!).
After some discussions about what I wanted (was happy with tariff but wanted handset for free) she went away to so some calculations.
Came back and said she couldn't offer it totally free but what she could do was give me x3 months free line rental basically knocking £45 off the cost of the phone.
I then asked about another tariff that had been mentioned which was the old style (not new style) O2 500 which offered 500xnet mins and 100txts for £35 a month discounted to £20 a month.
She then confirmed she could still give me the x3 months line rental so that was my deal:
O2 500 x 12mth contract @ £20 per month
500xnet mins
100txt
x3 months free line rental
SE K800i = £79.99 (minus £60 line rental discount) = £19.99
Am happy with that I think.
cheers

finally upgraded yesterday:
500mins 400txts £15pm (12 month contract)
K800i = £69.99
I talked to numerous people and they all were telling me the phone would be £189.99 and then finally got through to one guy who initially said £119.99 and then he gave me a £50 discount in the end making it £69.99. o2 customer services are a total shambles though they have two different systems and they have problems juggling between the two - the guy left a note on the account saying it was £69.99 I called up the next day to order and spoke to 3 different people including a manager and they all said the note wasn't there and the handset would be £189.99..it was ME who had to tell them to check their other system which is when they found it!

I just phoned O2 to get my PAC code as my data charges are getting silly and wanted to go to T-Mobile and use their unlimited for £7.50 web and walk add on. i still have two months to go on my contract so was told that I would have to pay £40 to leave as that is my cahrges until my contract finishes. She then told me that she could do me 100 mins, 100 texts and 36mb of data a month (more than i use) for £24.50 a month and she is also sending me a K800i.
Bonus. 10 months into a contract and I have basically got a good upgrade deal.
