Hey folks, nothing yet? i am also waiting for the new firmware hope SE will have it soon. i have an unbranded k850 running 037 and i have noticed a bug, when you are viewing the pictures in camera mode (not thru media manager but thru the camera switch on top switched to play mode) if you leave it on for a while without pressing anything the lights and screen turn off and the only thing that would turn the screen back on is the right touch button which will perform the "back" action hence exiting the picture mode. this is really annoying when showing or looking at the pictures you just took.

i have to always use the media manager instead, to show the pictures i just took because in this case even if the screen turns off after a few seconds of inactivity, pressing any key turns it back on right where you left it.

I think this is a mayor bug since it makes the PLAY switch useless. do you experience the same behavior? would you try? thanks

i'll be hanging arround to have news on that FW release

Yep, I've experienced the same thing. Very annoying when looking at a map on the go (especially driving, it was dangerous!). I've pointed it out in some other page, but whatever.

Hope to see an update soon.....

I've branded my K850 with vodafone firmware and back to unbranded several times. I can confirm that the SIM Lock remains unlocked. Flashing with Da Vinci doesn't effect the sim lock or your ability to use any other sim card.

Vax, did you manage to find any instructions regarding cleaning the K850i's lens cover? I can't find any.

Good news is, that one of my freind wanted to update from 029 firm to 037, but SEUS said, that he has the latest version. (He got unbranded phone)So if i am right, SE is removed the 037, and soon will be the new firmy there!

I just spoke to SE customer care(Sweden) and they told me that the firmware will be out next week and to me it sounded that that was the planned release date all along.. The guy i spoke to was running some kind of beta version of the new firmware. He told me that the phone now felt overall more stable and that the media player now remember personal settings at least when you have exited and enter again. Dont know if that also works when shifting album and not exiting.

What? 037 was the last release for unbranded phone. You mean 038, right? Cuz that was the firm that hasnt been released for unbranded.

I think you mean 038. 037 was released for unbranded phones in December I believe. [addsig]

Tell your friend to go ahead with the update. He will get the 037 firmware when the update is finished even though SEUS says he has the latest firmware.

I've updated 7 K850's now from 029 to 037 firmware and everytime SEUS has said the phones had the latest firmware before updating.

037 will not be taken off until the new firmware has been finalised and approved. It will go on SEUS usually a week after the main repair centers have recieved it.

Your phone wont end up sim locked mate. The client just flashes the firmware. Nothing else.
However. You will end up with the awful network branded firmware and possibly lose some options and have the flash menu disabled.
