Babylon 5 was a Sci-fi series in the early to mid 90s, a very good one at that! It's early computer generated graphics will look very dated now, but it had far superior storylines to series like Star Trek. It has a cult following. Plue, the storylines carried on through a series, or even the entire run of 5 seasons. a bit of a pisser if you missed a few episodes or a season, but it was a series that made you think.
A bit of a thinking man's Star Trek, really! When my finances are in a better state I'm hoping to buy babylon 5 on DVD - especially as I missed the last series because it got scheduled at some stupid time at night!

Bab 5 rocks! i was lucky really. with the release of season 4 all the previous seasons of B5 were reduced to less than half-price for a limited time.
two interesting facts, Jeff Conway who plays Zack was "Kinicky" in Grease (i.e. John Travolta's best friend), and Bill Mumy who plays Lennier was "Beaver" from Leave it to Beaver.
another busy weekend. after our weekly meeting with the builder tonight we're going to stay with my fiance's sister and brother in law for the weekend (they live in Bendigo, about 2 hours northish of Melbourne).

@kimcheeboi - It will be on December ! Hopefully on the 25th so that relatives, friends and gate crashers will just dole out one gift for 2 occasions - wedding and Christmas @gelfen - Life is just so hard nowadays, I hope you understand mate . . . |

as jojo said, it's in december - although it will be early december rather than Christmas.
had an interesting meeting with the builders last week - turns out their initial quote omitted the internal walls due to a computer glitch. it's been fixed up now, and the result could have been a lot worse for us. they offered full refund if we wanted to leave, but we've come too far and it's too much hassle to go elsewhere. at least it was picked up now rather than during construction.
it's our federal elections this saturday too, so i'm gonna have to go vote.

@gelfen - Hi mate! Only 2 months to go and you are already 'tied' with your wifey, no more time for fooling around with chix .. . Aren't you that excited as the big day nears |

i'll get excited later (probably about 2 days before ). i was never much of one for fooling around.
had an adventure last night. apparently some readheaded guy in a piddly little Hyundai Getz on the freeway didn't like the fact that i changed lanes in front of him (which was interesting since i merged into a reasonable gap while doing the speed limit and he managed gain on me quite rapidly), so he followed me off the freeway beeping his horn and tried to force me off the road. when he drew level he wound down his window and yelled some unintelligible abuse. i eventually let him pass me so he would go on ahead, but he sat right in front of me no matter how much i slowed down. as we approached my street i let him get further ahead, but i continued on anyway without turning off for a few more streets. at the next roundabout he went straight on so i turned left and headed back home, only to find as i turned into my street that he was again behind me. consequently i had to hoon around the block and down a few other roads heading away from my house (relying on my local knowledge) until i lost him. i gave it a another five minutes or so to make sure he wasn't roaming the area trying to find my and then headed for home.

@gelfen - Maybe that guy riding the car is the priest who is going to officiate the wedding ceremonies ! So, what car are you driving then, if he's on a Hyundai, probably a 1600 cc one to |

what a ... ! We've got lots of those over here too: there's always stories of people killing each other because they got cut off
Once i was driving on the freeway (65 mile an hor limit) at around 75, and this idiot in a s2000 decided he needed to tailgate me, even though he could have passes me on my left ! I pulled over to the lane on my right and when he got even with me i blew his tires off (no not literally, just burned him )

well the saga of my car repairs is finally over, with the paint protection coating put on last week.
had a very busy weekend (again!) - met with the builder, chose outdoor tiles for the front porch, had the bridal party over for another dance practice and then out for dinner, got our wedding invitations back and started writing them, visited the Intelligent Home Show. it was a bit of a croc really, but at least we got to see some of the home automation toys we might be putting in the house. apparently we will be at building contract by the end of the week.
also, we have an appointment to see the church organist this week to work out our music for the ceremony (only a little over six weeks away now).

@gelfen - And just what will you be choosing as your wedding song?
How 'bout:
1. A Long and Lasting Love
2. My Love Will See You Through
3. Evergreen
4. Love Is The Answer
5. Endless Love
6. See You Same Time Next Year |
