@stan:
May I suggest you set the Bluetooth to ON, most people keep it on AUTO which means the bluetooth switches on, do the search, switch off, switch on, send OBEX, switch off.... if you get what I mean... so skip the AUTO and leave your bluetooth ON.
@clearahill:
May I suggest you use "bjack" instead of "bj" and BJ means something else
If you are not sure, ask shithappens, he'll give you a nice long explanation on what it means.

gladly
bj in our terms crudely refers to a somewat sexual act whereby the female counterpart performs a delicate and arousing performance on the male counterpart's genitals orally......
so let's all refer to it as bluejackin or jackin rather than bj

Melik, you are trying to pair your phone to another Bluetooth device. This is not what you want to do and won't work. Instead of going into 'My devices' in your Bluetooth menu, select the contact/item you want to send and choose 'Send' then 'Bluetooth'.

what do you mean "somewhat"?
somewhat adv 1: to a small degree or extent
exactly where is the room for doubt?
it's not like it can be misconstrued as platonic (although in some circustances i suppose it could be seen as a business transaction)

Problem sorted, I do a system flush b4 I do any bluejacking, so SMAN no longer crashes.
Had a fella great last night in Tesco (Supermarket) was waiting at the check out and decided to have a scan, Picked up 6310 called Jon`s Phone. Hit him about 8 times b4 he turned his bluetooth off. Just saw a bloke standing in the shop door way looking really confussed why he kept getting `Go to www.custom-el.co.uk` on his phone. LOL
It was the little piggie that built his house from Nokia`s that the big bad wolf could`nt blow down! www.custom-el.co.uk |

LOL!!!!!!
you are trying to pair with another phone!!!! You need to go to the item you want to send, select send, then select via bluetooth.
@rndmyllsktr-i know what you mean
regarding the popularity of bjacking-
All of the people who create these stupid websites and try to get their 15 minutes of fame piss me off. I mean, ajack created bjacking, and you dont see him trying to make himself famous for it. (Much credit to ajack for that) Who really pisses me off is jellyellie, who tries to claim that she (or he?, I can't tell) was mainly responsible for the spread of bluejacking. What jellyellie and people that act like jellyellie need to do is to shut up, stop trying to be leeches and profit off of things that they didnt even create, and stop spoiling it for the rest of us. |

Is jellie still around? Not heard her on the board for a long time.
What's everyones experience of battery life with BT on - my p900 seems to last just about a day with it on, but around 3 days with it off.
By the way, did anyone else know that 02 allow you to dial up 0845 numbers and the calls are included in your monthly allowance?
I stopped using GPRS and switched to using on of the free ISPs - Aardvaak - OK it's only 9600bps but for email it's fine and who really wants to browse the web on a p900 LOL. I always have minutes left over each month and it's cheaper than paying O2 for a data package.
