Nope, frame work fine in R2L. AFAIK, it just vegetaleb's phone that have problem with frame. |

i have a problem with frames too after i upgraded to R2L... i tried re flashing the FW this afternoon at the service point but the problem persists... they told me to bring it to another service point and if it is not corrected they can replace the unit |

Just upgraded my K700 from R2E to R2L aswell. Lost my shortcust but otherwise it looks fine.
Already found a few new things. A new Profile called: TTY accessory
I guess thats a profile for when the CHATBOARD is connected.
Also the bold dates in the calendar is there again! thanks SE!
Ill keep you posted for more changes.

a simple upgrade of your phone in r2l will not correct the frames problem,the files are missing that's all! so you will have to claim for a full format of your fw phone then they reinstall r2a then again r2l or directly r2l if they have the full version
it's like if a virus erased part of your win xp,you will have to erase the full windows folder and then reinstall a new brand one

I got my K700 today and it have firmware R2E011..... this is a old fw or?????
Would think that on a new phone would have the new fw....?

You have an older firmware... the R2E is the 2nd released firmware (and they say... it's full of bugs than fixes) you might want to upgrade it to R2L. But, if you don't have any problems in the fone... don't change anything.

I wanted to know if the R2L fixes the 'GPRS not really disconnecting' bug?

After I type a text message, I select "Continue". It brings up the phonebook lookup. I select a number. If I click "Send", its fine. If you try with a new SIM-card it will work just fine. Some modern phones have problems with older SIM-cards. I had the same problem with my phone bought in Sweden and it helped to switch the SIM-card. My operator (Vodafone) just sent me a new one with no charge. I bought the phone from them too. |

hi guys. i upgraded my K700i to R2L version here in Manila a week ago and here's what i have observed with regards to the missing frames issue. when i access my camera i have the following frames: double heart, extra, hiphop, hippie, monkey, superhero, tv star and wanted are these also the frames you have on your phone? i seem to have more frames when my phone was still in R2A. i don't know if the upgrade to R2L took out a few other frames. anyway, every frame works fine except for the double heart. the double heart frame doesn't show after you take a picture.
there's also another frames feature when you edit pictures (go to more->use->edit->tool->add frame). the add frame is disabled if the picture you are editing is not 160 x 120 in size. i then tried to edit a 160 x 120 picture but when i select the add frames option the phone will display "no more files." i haven't accessed this add frames before when my K700i was still in R2A version so i don't know if there are frames in that option. i also did a couple of master resets on my phone since i got it so i'm not sure if they were deleted permanently. can you guys pls check your K700i if you also had a similar experience with the said frames. thanks.

On my K700i running R2L I've got 21 different frames under the camera function and 9 different frames when doing an editing as you mention. The frame Double Heart works fine.
You need a format and full reinstall of the software. A flash will not fix your problem.

Does SE ever inform its customers about the release of new FW versions thru email or website?
I had emailed this to their customer support in Spore but no reply as yet!!!! Its been over 10 days since i emailed. |
