theoretically, i get my car back this week. i say "theoretically" because i was originally told 8 working days, which would have brought it to last thursday.

on thursday i was told wednesday, so fingers crossed.

i'm also quite frustrated with the dirth of dress shoes which are both presentable and comfortable. i need a pair for the wedding.

@gelfen - Is that 'dress shoes' you're talking about is somewhat the leather shoes that you going to wear on your wedding day? Hmmm . . . a pair of Gucci or Salvatore Ferragamo will do best I guess? Why not spend a fortune on those shoes as you are going to wed only 'once' in your lifetime? Unless, 'divorce' is legal in your place, as it is not here in Manila . . . While a Manolo Blahnik shoes will suit and elegantly fit your loving wife dude !

i don't want a pair of shoes i have to insure!

and while i might only get married once, i certainly won't be wearing the shoes only once and i'd be too scared to take those out in public.

besides, the cost of the brands you mentioned would pay for the wedding invitations. i have fussy feet, so i have a lot of trouble finding good shoes at an affordable price.

i should seriously not have got up this morning.

dad left for the airport at 0530
couldn't get back to sleep
blood nose
arrive at train station just as train is pullling out
next train delayed by 10 min
elevator door doesn't open on my floor (have to go back down and get the other one, but only after sending the first on a spurious journey)
finally arrive late in office
i have hayfever
after fillilng drink bottle at water cooler, bottle rim catches on tap thereby dumping entire contents on me and sourrounding carpet.
still have hayfever
find out i have to revisit client's office because they haven't given us the correct information
still have hayfever
drop vegemite covered biscuits in my lap (for the uinitiated - think dark brown paste)
still have hayfever
plagued by software bugs
pouring rain when i leave work (get soaked)
still have hayfever
still pouring rain when i get off the train (even more soaked)
nearly side-swiped by a truck in pitch black darkness (driving my dad's car)

at least my hayfever seems to have cleared now i'm home

Sounds like you're having a day from hell! Look on the bright side, at least tomorrow should be a better day, and with any luck they'll have fixed the elevator, it won't rain as bad tomorrow, and maybe the pollen count will be lower. At least the day's nearly at an end!

i also forgot to mention i found out that my car, which was meant to be ready yesterday, won't be ready until tomorrow. at least they gave me a specific time this time

and my hayfever degenerated into a throat tickle, which is now a full-blown cold/flu thingy

busy weekend. finished off our gift registry (or so we thought, until we were told some of the items were discontinued), chose our internal colour scheme for the house, chose our kitchen appliances, designed and got a quote for our wedding cake, had the first dancing lesson for the bridal party, and got a proof of our wedding invitations. also booked tickets to see We Will Rock You and The Lion King when we're in Sydney.

also, just finished watching the first three seasons of Babylon 5 on DVD.
