Sorry antonio, I don't quite understand your explanation.
Any chance you could try and rephrase that.

Thanks.

About the battery problems: I think it's not because of the processor but mostly because of the backgorund lighting: go to the settings and turn it off and you will see... Battery lasts quite long; and the screen is visible since it's sunny for the moment

Sorry, I got a little too excited.

When I just had mobile numbers for all my contacts everything seemed fine.

I added a second number to a couple of my contacts (Home number) and what seemed to happen was that the following contacts on the list copied the mobile/default number from the contact with 2 numbers.

E.G. on the contacts screen

Just mobile numbers:
A = 1234
B = 4567
C = 7890

Adding home number:
A = 1234 (Mobile / Default) WXZY (Home)
B = 1234
C = 1234

I have found that by deleting the "Home" number for contact A and then for the affected contacts (B,C,...) go into "View & Edit", "Edit" the mobile number, you don't need to change the number, "Save" it then lists the number as what it should be on the screen.

When I add the "Home" number back onto contact A it happens all over again.

Ok...
When i sit my k700i on the p900 cradle the phone connection link status changes to connecting but doesn't actually connect... it just gives up after 5 minutes?? Anyone?

i had a similar issue using my p800 cradle and the way i solved it by uninstalling all the p800 software and then uninstalling the k700 sw by using the k700 disc and selecting remove sw (this way it removes the phone monitor as well). i then did a fresh reinstall of the k700 sw and tried to connect the k700 again but with the firewall disabled to allow a free connection (i disabled my network so my pc was at no risk).

the phone then registered immediately and with the firewall enables now it works just fine. i believe there was some conflict the the 2 sw's (p800 and k700) possible the phone monitor became corrupt.

whatever it worked for me.

the only problem i personally have with this great phone is the missing shortcut creation option:

(i think its down to orange as part of their personalisation) other than that its great

Hi All,

I bought a K700 3 days ago... Great phone... My battery lasted 2 days with its first charge (12 hours)... Will drain battery for several times and charge it off... I think this is very important for getting a good battery life.

But, I discovered a bug: When adding contacts to groups, you cannot remove one! Just add!!!

Let's hope SE reads the forums...

Otherwise, very nice phone... The best phone I ever used, and I've owned a lot of phones!

I have seen very little said in this thread about the Voicdail facility on the k700. I bought mine yesterday from Orange and was dissapointed to find the 2 stage voicedial from the T610, where you first speak the name of the contact, then "Home", "Mobile", "Work" or "Other" to dial the correct number for that contact, has been replaced with a one stage voicedial where you have to record a seperate voicedial for each number on every contact. I have 200 contacts, each with multiple numbers, so the prospect of recording up to 800 voicedial numbers instead of 200 on the T610 seems a little daunting to say the least!

Nevertheless, while that is dissapointing, it is not nearly as dissapointing as this: Try assigning voicedial entries for a whole load of numbers, say, around 50. Press and hold the volume key to start the voicedail function as normal and lowe: the phone crashes.

This happens every time without fail. Add to this fact to the one stage voicedial mechanism and the fact the the voicedial record function lops off the end of your recorded voicedial name and the voicedial facility of the k700 is rendered virtually useless for anyone that has many contacts that they want to assign voicedial names to. :S

Do you think it's worth buying now or better wait a while?

Well,i hope they release a firmware update as soon as possible. My bluetooth crashes very often now and is getting on my nerves plus other bugs that make phone operation more difficult.

Hi! I already have my K700i!!!

My firmware is R2A041 but I have one problem (at least):

- When I enter in Camera Mode, in middle light the screen shows an excelent picture but when I take the picture (night mode or not), it becomes very noisy in the screen with lots of "dots" of noise and pictures arenīt very good. Does that happens to any of you?

(In good light condition pictures are fine. Low light have a lot of noise)

People, one thing I found => My K700i brought:

- 3 games (Darts, Tennis 3D, River...something)
- Kite.mp4
- about 15 default (I think...) images
- 4 Themes
- Some default musics (some MP3, IMY and MIDI)

41Mb free

THEN I did a "Master Reset"...

- 1 games (Tennis 3D)
- no movies
- about 7 default images
- 1 Theme
- Some (half!) default musics (MP3, MIDI)

43Mb free

Does anyone had the same thing as I did? Can I think that someone used my phone before I did?

yes - this is the standard for simfree nonbranded versions of the phone:

- 3 games (Darts, Tennis 3D, River...something)
- Kite.mp4
- about 15 default (I think...) images
- 4 Themes
- Some default musics (some MP3, IMY and MIDI)

41Mb free

Some of it can be deleted - some cannot
A master reset allways deletes the stuff that can be deleted.

I see no reason to suspect someone else should have had the phone before you - why do you suspect that ??

With this K700i half the stuff was from SEīs website, available for download - with Master Reset that half was lost! If more people had this "problem" than I am delirious If not, than someone in SEīs Portugal store was playing with mine, downloaded stuff and then sold it.

In T610/630 if you did a Master Reset, everything that came with your phone would be available again.

With K700i .

By the way, does anyone knows sites with K700i themes/games?

If anyone have themes / stuff for K700i please send them to me over e-mail:

RMCRYS@yahoo.com

By the way, I already know how to make MP4 videos for K700i with EXCELENT quality and low space (not .3GP low quality!).

in Mpegable X4 live use:
- Video: 3GP MPEG4 Profile 0 (170Kbs)
- Audio: AAC 44.100 Hz Stereo (56kbs)

PS: ALL Nokia (3650/7650/6600 included) JAVA games WORK IN K700i!!!
