Well i dowgrade imediately on Orange,not suree o2 will let you do that, if your planning a downgrade on o2 i would check you can do it NOW, dont leave it till the 14 days is up, as you would be stuck with the phone & tariff.

three months is definate so worst case scenario you pay 270 (3 * 45) + (9 * 15)
but i am sure after the documents come through to you from O2 you can ring and ask for the downgrade.

Bought a P900 on 02 45 tariff from Carlisle yesterday the 6th. It was the last one in stock, think quite lucky there.
@Anuj
Did you ask the salesman to make the billing date after 14 days or did they do it by default, coz I asked the sales girl to make my billing date after 10 days and she said its not possible to specify the billing date and said it will be 6th of every month, ( yesterday was 6th ).
@bbasra
I read that your billing date was also the same as the date of purcahse
and that you were going to call 02, did you call and were you able to change the billing date?
@Vermania
Were you able to specify the billing date on your 02 P900s?
@Welshuk
Have you downgraded the contract yet? For that matter any one else downgraded the contract of 02 yet

Just another post to add to the list.
I heard about the O2 deal on a smaller message board.
Once I checked the Derby shop and was told they had none in I went to nottingham.
in one shop in Nottingham they had one left reserved for some "business guy" (assistants own words) so I went to the other store... one left, again it was reserved... but the assistant asked the manager if the guy had rung up yet to say when he'd be in. "No" she said and told him to just sell it me.
So I now have a P900. I shall downgrade in 3 months and then decide wether to keep the O2 or the Voda contract I am on.
It works out good because my girlfriend is on O2 so I can use the free minutes (and the 400 free texts a month for the first 3 months) to text and call her at reasonable rates
My P900 and T610 get on beautifully

No... the one near the Viccy center. The one near the Broadmarsh was the one that had it reserved for the "business man"... I think the sales assistant actually used the words "Mr Business"

...and another one flip-down.

@apollosfire, There was a guy here on Esato who would have done all the dirty work on your behalf then given you a P9 for £80, but i'm afraid after moving into a caravan & letting some travellers live in his house for free, he was asked by a friend (who was done for murder) to "Do his time" for him, which he happily agreed to.
So maybe give Esato a look in about 10yrs when he gets out.

Yeah, can't wait till he gets out, he was going to get a loan out from the bank so that I could buy a nice new Sony Viao for my ermm... 'trip'.
@Apollosfire
You wont get it for £80 quid unless someone does and insurance job on it.
Although the phone is free, the O2 contract over the year will come to around £270.
I mean... jeez the guy in the O2 shop said he'd gimme 100 quid for my T610. If you get a P900 for £80 you're a very lucky boy
I'm going to bed in a minute... loaded on the first episode of 'SPACED' on to the phone along with a few music vids and some Alan partridge MP3's
