Why i feel pessimistic while others feel optimistic about upcoming announcement.
Maybe because tendency to dissapoint me in the past have changed my preception.

i feel the same extent of pesimism as well, but that had significantly yet slowly changed when Mizzle validated most of my questions. UIQ 4, autofocus, TI-OMAP 34xx and greater RAM were all the essentials for me. but so as to say, trust the new CEO

i think no, since BeiBei has no flash like W960. and the screen, based on the given spypics seemed smaller than the latter. but BeiBei would possess UIQ 3.2, Faster TI-OMAP CPU, GPS and Opera 9. so BeiBei won't even be the W960 sucessor instead W900 proper successor imo.

"Sony Ericsson PlayNow; the next step" it says in the event calendar.

I think "the next step" could be something else to be announced, because it's seperated with semicolon - so "the next step" doesn't belong to "PlayNow".

Or am I wrong?!

SE won't incorporate 3,5mm jack, because they have their own standard.
You can use the adaptor

3,5mm jack is too bulky too implement it on the hardware. It needs too much space inside of the devices

There will be only one connector for all purposes, so you have to put up with this.

Thats absolute nonsense. If that were true then everyone would be using propietary headphones. lol That got to be one of the funniest things ive heard seriously. Everyone knows that for the best sonic experience - 3rd party headphones should be used. This should be standard on all walkman phones. Its bad enough SE keep rebranding the same old technology whilst Nokia implement audio enhancing chips and 3.5mm jacks.

Eldar says we will see phones with 3.5:

"3,5 mm audio jack. A number of products in 2008 will finally acquire 3,5 mm audio jacks on casing. This is also a reaction to a common opinion that this socket is a must for music-heavy phones."

Also two phones with VGA res , maybe Paris will be the first? :
"the year 2008 will also see first two devices boasting VGA-screens."

Thats more like it. Although I get the feeling when he says "a number" he means only the smarphones high end ones. Still its a start.

3.5mm shouldnt be a need for SE users cuz you can change your headphone eitherway. But for Nokia users ...well you know why they are obsessed with 3.5mm jack...cuz nokia phones which dont have 3.5mm jack comes with a headphone which you cannot change. In otherwords SE comes with 3.5mm adaptor and nokia doesnt ! No wonder 3.5mm jack is like God to nokia users !

FYI : half of the things elder says is true.

You dont make any sense. "You can change you headphones either way?". Do you mean by means of a 3.5mm adapter. Thats not the point. And by the way all Nokias which dont have 3.5mm ports can have 3.5m adapters.

That looks nice!!!!

If its announced at 3GSM when can we expect it out at the soonest? Would it be Q3 or would Q2 be asking too much?

Yeah, stupid school. I wish I could go too. I will after I graduate. I'd love to go back to Barcelona.

Also, Mizzle:

Do you know if the Wayfinder 7 program preinstalled on both Paris and BeiBei will be the full application, or will it be a trial program? The reason I ask is because the W760i's Wayfinder is a trial, according to the Wayfinder website, so I was wondering if the same would hold true for these models.
