Thanks for posting randomuser.
The fast capture actually works quite well. It shouldn't take more than a second or two to wake up and unlock the phone.

Guys the touchscreen doesn't work underwater. Wet Finger Tracking only applies when its used in the rain or there is a splash of water on the screen.
Randomuser, can you please confirm if Sony has specifically provisioned to use 1 of the volume buttons as a camera key when in Photo/Video Recording mode? Please?
Thanks in advance.

Xperia V is a very unique model and it presents great qualitys: dust/water resistance & LTE! its a clean and fresh take on a mid/high tier smartphone. I really feel Sony should push this a lot.

There's a long wait my friend. It looks like it will come out in December.
Very annoying!

Yeah, one month before CES, when Sony usually announces the new flagship. That's even worse than Xperia Arc S' case...
The best mobile phone brand died with Sony Ericsson's death. Shame on you Sony for killing it! And, of course, for ruining the Xperia brand... Mediar's Site |

Nothing wrong at all IMO. The V was never intended to be the flagship but a mid range phone that will sell in 2013 globally.
It's more of a sidekick to the 2013 Flagship, which is why it's not being promoted much this year.

I didn't really say no V this year. All I said was V will be available throughout the world only by 2013. This year only selected few markets will get the V. |

Indeed! So fastest it comes out in December, if you have luck!
Do you know what? If I wait until December or longer, so I can wait easy for CES 2013 January 8th!!!
I think SONY is fu***ing V itself... Why is it not in market right NOW?! The competition is too big...
Same they have done with the ION... Ah, don't ask... it's still not available... Waiting almost 10 months for this device.
Many people want buy the V. They are interested, but how long? They will choose soon an alternative...

Well james, as I said already the V was never meant to be a 2012 hot selling product let alone Sony hero device. It's more of a teaser to 2013 devices. It shares much more with 2013 line up than 2012 range. Plus the fact that it's an LTE device and the S4 shortage doesn't help either.
The reason behind V's existence is re capturing the critical Chinese smartphone market and also the US market.
@IndianDawg
Do not despair, you can always import it from Europe. So two more months of wait.

@DoctorRando
Yes okay I understand, but it is really sad, what SONY does with us...
So I think it is better to wait for CES?! I think there will be announced a better device than V or not?
